If you're out walking in summer, you need something breathable to protect you from wind and light showers, without making you overheat. In winter you need more rain resistance and insulation. The Paramo Bentu Windproof Jacket provides wind and water resistant protection for the warmer months, and if worn with a fleece will form a warm waterproof system for winter.
It's made from Nikwax Windproof fabric with a zoned Pump Liner in the hood and across the shoulders that provides clever drainage technology for added protection in heavy rain.

Nikwax Windproof is a closely woven microfibre which cuts wind chill keeps you insulated, but still allows for moisture to move away from your body. It can be treated with Nikwax durable water-repellency to deflect the rain, and its excellent moisture vapour transfer minimises condensation. Extremely resilient and durable, it won’t degrade in UV light, and it compresses without any damage making it ideal to carry

Poor stitching that failed in the first 2 weeks

Great summer jacket
Brought because I roast in waterproofs and softshells. So I wanted something lighter that could shrug off a light rain.
Very soft material, shrugs off light showers as I wanted. With another layer like a fleece underneath you'll need quite a bit of rain before enough goes through the fabric to reach your skin.
Much cooler than a softshell as desired.
Hood and shoulders have a pump liner, which hasnt let even heavier rain through yet, so this item has actually got me interested in paramo's waterproof items.

Amazing light weight wind proof jacket
Delighted with this first class jacket The material is great quality, styling good and a pleasant colour
It really does the business and with washed in Nikwax is totally waterproof
The zips work well and storage is plentiful for maps and hankies!

An Excellent lightweight jacket
I have had many Paramo jackets over the years and it does what it says on the tin. I have used the kit in the harshest of environments with MRT and other activities. I found this jacket to come up to the mark no problem. The fit is comfortable, lightweight and the lined hood is good and comfortable. Would benefit from a selection of colours as I personally dont like the Royal Blue as its difficult to keep clean. Question in an earlier review is about the tab at the back f the hood, which is for adjusting hood size but in hard environments can be used to secure goggle straps.

Exceeded my high expectations
This jacket is great. It is very lightweight , has plenty of pockets and looks good.
The weather I encountered was relatively good, to be fair, but I felt very smug in my new jacket. I have purchased Paramo kit before and found it excellent.

Paramo bento wind proof
Comfortable jacket, add the fleece to be a full all season jacket.... great material compared to that loud goretex shell that will now be gathering dust in your cupboard!!! Was at first worried about the lose sleeves but both the windproof and fleece easily push up forearms... easily the best all weather solution for changing conditions!! Dwr is awesome off the rack and dries out quickly if wetting out occurs, much more comfortable than a cold sweaty hard shell when your working hard. Can be used for commuting, walking and harder mountain activitys safe in the knowledge paramo won't let you down! Just keep it clean with tech wash every few months.

I was initially quite pleased with this jacket until I noticed the stitching coming undone by the zip. Unfortunately closer inspection showed lots of other faults. Returned with no faith in Paramo QC.
