The Meindl Bhutan Lady MFS certainly has some big boots to fill. A host of new features have been introduced, including a whole new lacing system and streamlined upper. The addition of memory foam and extra soft ankle cushioning affords much more comfort to the wearer. Designed using the same last and highly durable Vibram sole unit as it's predecessor, the Bhutan should please both those old and new to the brand.

First time u wore them they felt like they were already broken in, no blisters or rubbing. Very comfortable and offer good ankle support. Usually a size 6 but got 6.5 to allow for thick socks and swelling room. Size guide worked perfectly.
Meindl Bhutan boots are the the most comfortable and waterproof boots I have ever owned and I would give 5 stars but I have returned 4 pairs in 5 years. First pair due to gore tex breaking down. Two pairs because the soles disintegrated and one pair because of a fault in the memory foam lining which made the uncomfortable to wear. The faults occurred within the guarantee period and I received a new pair each time. Maybe I have been unlucky as my husband has had two pairs now with no issues. I would recommend these boots for serious hiking they can take anything Dartmoor has to offer but be aware although the build quality is excellent it seems some of the materials they are made with are not
Very nervous buying new walking boots. I have very wide feet and suffer from Plantar faciatis. Went with 1/2 up. Incredibly comfortable. Rubbed for 2 days. Can't recommend enough
I purchased these boots on advise they would last yrs. 1st pair lasted 3 months and started letting in water through sole. These were replaced. Sole has fallen apart on Replacement pair after 14 mths
I've had these boots less than 2 years and the nubuck is beginning to split. They've done about 300 miles. Narrow fit on the toes, weren't waterproof for more than 4 month. Bog standard insoles
Have had these for 5 years so far, the climber many mountains, trekked through rivers, snow and even taken a trip to the top of Kilimanjaro. Still going strong.
highly recommend, but having been told by a team member these would last for years, they have lasted around 1.
Comfortable, moulded to feet, keep your feet dry. Used in water, snow, mud etc.
I have recently returned my third pair of these. 1st pair bought in autumn 2015 lasted 12 months before leaking. 2nd pair lasted 6 months before leaking. 3rd pair lasted 5 months before support structure in ankle cuff shifted and started to rub a hole in my foot! Very disappointed with such an expensive and well respected brand. So far I have had refunds or replacements which is fine other than the inconvenience of being without goretex boots for at least a couple of weeks each time as the boots are returned to be ‘checked’ for fault......I’d prefer just to have a sound pair of boots. I’ve had similar problems over the years with other brands such as mammut and scarpa. Im told I’m unlucky, perhaps I could get a job with quality assurance in walking boot manufacture
These are the best boots I have ever bought. They are tough with the mountains and very gentle with my feet! I initially bought Salomon boots and they completely destroyed my feet, disappointed as I paid a fair amount for them, I made the decision to buy Meindl, I have been using them for a year now, hiked many mountains and they are still very comfortable and waterproof.
I have had these boots for about a year now. They are heavy duty and great on the hills. They were comfortable straight out of the box. I had to get a size bigger than normal as they are quite narrow at the front. They are also fairly heavy so I find them fine for about 15 miles. I prefer my lighter ones for longer distance. They ahre also nice and warm and so great in winter.
It was like walking round the Lake District in your slippers. They are so comfy. I only have to replace them every 4years. I use them every day for walking the dogs too. Use sports wax and treat them every few months. :-) Vicky
Absolutely love these boots. Bought them summer of last year (2016), but earlier in the year the join between sole and rest of shoe started cracking on both boots. This means they're no longer waterproof but still super comfy. To be fair I've wore them every day walking my dog in parks (Only a couple of big hikes). I bought a cheaper pair to let my boots dry out but tempted to buy another pair of these... would have thought they'd last more than a year, given the price, but they're soooo comfortable and give great stability.
Thanks to some expert advice from a Go Outdoors sales assistant on lacing up, I have had no problems whatsoever with these boots from the first time I tried them on to doing a 50 mile walk, in stages, 3 weeks after I bought them. Although expensive at c. £200, they are providing
value for money. Very satisfied.
I have walked 1000's of miles, climbed 100's of hills/mountains and crossed many a morrland. This is by far the best boot I've ever owned! normally I would expect to finish a days walking of 20/30miles with at least one blister as I have raised arches/ weak feet/ankles and bones in odd places, but never in this boot - it is amazing!!! I would recommend it to everyone!!
These boots are very sturdy and really well made however I had to send mine back as they swished my outside toes and just weren't wide enough for my feet. I was hoping to order in a Men's instead for the width but they don't go down to a small enough size. So I'm sad to say I will not be an owner of these boots.
Having been recommended these boots by a friend to upgrade from my old Brasher Hillmasters, so far I think they are definitely worth the extra outlay. They are robust, have an excellent grip and I'm sure once worn in, will become my favourite pair of boots. My only gripe, in common with a review on this site for the mens version, is the insole. When buying a boot with a very stiff midsole I would expect a better quality insole than the very basic one provided. It certainly did not feel like an "Air Active" insole, so much so that having established that all of the boots at GO had the same type of insole, I contacted Meindl direct and a very helpful lady sent me an alternative which is more cushioned. I am now looking forward to testing the boots during the Autumn/Winter months.
Girlfriend bought these boots and straight out the box comfy, immediately did a 5 mile climb not one issue all that can be said is brilliant boots
I’ve had these around 9 months, they are really comfortable, didn’t have to wear them in. I’ve had no issues , spray with the conditioner or waterproof spray to keep in good condition.
