Base layers best friend
It's one of those things that you buy as an experiment, and then wonder how you managed beforehand. It does exactly what it says on the tin......it cleans, refreshes and revitalises BASELAYERS . One review mentions using it for waterproofs, but that's a big no no. Stick to using it for base layers and you will have no problems.

Does what it says it will. Cleans, freshens, better than usual household wash in one wash as a part to a rinse wash and wash.

Great stuff for both machine and hand washing. Does what it claims to do. Especially helps quick drying. Love the smell! Who wants to smell like a packet of detergent? Only problem is, why do so few Premier retailers stock it??
O.K. so its a base layer wash. So what?,
you may ask. Well, after a couple of uses a
distinct difference in the feel and performance of base layers can be clearly determined. The outer surface of my grid-fleece base and mid layers feels tougher and with more 'spring back' when stretched. Similarly the inner grids have more resilience and loft, more 'boing', if you like, and my base layer drawer is like the one in those old fabric softener ads in that its apparently fuller due to the increased plumpness of my tops and leggings.
I used this wash a for quite a while previously but of late had been unable to find the time to buy any and ended up using a mild conventional liquid detergent for base & mid layer washing or a similar but inferior specialist product that was easier to obtain. I shan't make that mistake again. Nikwax Basewash is the best product of it's kind available. I only wish it was available in a bigger, jumbo-sized bottle.
