Hybrid Wellie/Walking boot?
Fully waterproof lower shoe works well in mud and shallow water but the lower part of the gusset lets water in very quickly so they are no good in deeper water. Generous fit - may need a smaller size

They look the part, but they flatter to deceive.
The tongue/gusset is like a sponge, and soaks up water within minutes of any contact.
My feet were drenched and cold after the first time I wore them.
