Super light and easy to pack, the Traverse 3/4 Self-Inflating Mat from OEX is perfect for year-round use on any camping trip. Made using a brushed polyester shell and base, it folds down to a compact size to make it easy to store and carry. It takes no-time to self-inflate but can be further inflated by mouth if you need.
I find this mat very uncomfortable , like sleeping on a park bench , doesn’t self inflate , the 3/4 length is noticeable aswell when you wake up with cold legs and feet , packs small though
Really comfortable.
It's actually really comfy in 6ft, and barely notice my feet coming off, absolutely great
Perfect for my needs
Does not self inflate. Need to finish the job air-pumping it, even though it's not too hard. Once inflated, it's confortable. Used only once, hope it will last.
Bought this item about a month ago and used it over a 6 day wild camping trip on top of my roll out mat to give some extra protection from the cold ground.
Packs down easily into the supplied stuffsack. Needs a few puffs of breath to inflate fully and is thick enough to support and provide comfort. Much more effective than a simple foam mattress. A good buy!
On unravelling this mat it's surprising how compact it can be. The actual quality of the mat is pretty good. The size is not too bad either. I'm not the smallest of blokes and I slept on it without issues.
The mat inflates quite slowly and in order to get the best firmness I had to use the mouth piece and blow.
Over a two night period I managed to get plenty of sleep.
Deflating the mat is simple enough by rolling from the bottom up then reseal the cap, unravel, fold in half, unscrew the cap and again roll from the bottom up.
It fits easily into the spacious storage bag.
All in all for the price paid this is a good quality mat for anyone on a tight budget.
Good bit of kit. I bought it to replace a smaller self-inflating roll mat and this one is much better. The size isnt bad. I'm 6ft and I fit on this comfortably with the mat finishing just past my knee. It feels comfortable enough for a decent night's sleep. The packed away size is great, it deflates to a really tiny size, there are bands included to keep it tight and the bag is massive so you don't have to fight the mat into the bag you just put it in and close the bag with the draw strings.
Changed to this air matt because it was so affordable. Glad i did. I always favoured the light usual roll matts until i tried this. Best sleep ive ever had in a tent. Im usually one of these people who will pick the flattest spot possible and punch down the turf until its spirit level straight but with this theres no need. The 3/4 cuts down on size and weight for trekking and i didnt personally notice the difference of it not going all the way to my feet, im 5,10 so perhaps a taller person would notice that the matt finishes just after your knees. Very happy. Would highly reccommend. The weight is the only obvious difference but id rather take an extra 0.4 of a kg and get a good solid 8 hours.
I actually use two of these mats stacked together on my long distance walks. They are light and being shorter make a smaller pack size. They do need a bit of additional inflation. Close to perfect.
