The Sevylor Tahiti™ Plus Kayak is a kayak/canoe designed for 2 adults and one child when using the convertible seat, or two adults as standard.

A great toy for grown ups or kids, this can be used with a kayak oar, or each person can use a canoe oar to get moving and share the hard work! (Or you could just drift along and enjoy the day whilst the others carry you...just don't get caught out!)

The Tahiti weighs in at 13,1kg, so it isn't as light as some models, but this is made up for by the generous legroom. It's able to take an impressive 200kg of weight, and the 385 x 90cm inflated size makes it the King of the River!

Whilst your on board you can sit comfy in the inflatable seats, and the heavy duty PVC liner will keep you protect from what lurks beneath! (If you do spring a leak, the emergency repair kit included should come in very handy.) The spray cover can also be used in order to protect the compartments from excess damp if the rain comes down and you don't fancy drenched sandwiches!

When it's time to pack away for the day, The Tahiti Plus is yet again on your side.

The carry handles mean that getting it out of the river won't have to involve any Hulk-like movements with the kayak over your head, you can simply drag it back in. The Boston valves make deflating the Tahiti Plus child's play, so no more stomping on it to get it flat before a storm hits.  After deflating the kayak, the Tahiti Plus™ benefits from the Sevylor 'backpack system' which means it can be rolled out and converted into a pack so you can wear it on your shoulder. Just deflate, roll it flat and clip it into itself.

Please note that the packaging mistakenly suggests this comes with an oar. Sadly that isn't the case! However, we do sell them. To view all Sevylor canoes and kayaks, oars, swimming, boats and river accessories, click here.

Very poor, deflates quickly
2 out of 5

Mine deflated really quickly, just as most other reviewers have said. First time took about half an hour before it was noticeable, 2nd time it went down in minutes, on both sides.

Avoid, rubbish

Only reason it received 1 star is I had to give it something! Deflates very quick, no fin so difficult to steer with my type of wind. No pump included(?). No paddles included.

Good for the money

Inflated properly and with the seats inflated properly this is a great Kayak. It held an adult and 2 medium sized kids well ( 9and 12 years old). Was relatively easy to steer on a windy day.

Returned it straight away....

Returned it straight away. Didn’t like manufacturing or seat design. Bought another make same as one I’d already got that actually came with pump, paddles etc. Shame as usually Go Outdoors sells reliable products - but this is just my opinion of the product.

Not great

Good for one of holiday maybe, ours deflated on the first time in the water due to a tear on one of the seams. Returned it, spend the extra money for better quality. If you can buy the more expensive version, will last a lot longer by the look of it.

Canoe
2 out of 5

For the money a good fun canoe on a flat lake canoe for kids to play in. I find it hard to get comfy as back rest move about to much. Oars seem expensive compared to price of boat. But it will provide hours of fun in summer hols.

Seats as Useless, Valves don't hold.
2 out of 5

The 3 seats are useless and won't hold air.
With out any back support I see it very uncomfortable.
It is massive so with out seats it just becomes a big dingy, which for £120.00 is a rip off.
It is a shame and I might look at the 2 seat one??

Its great!!

It is a great kayak! Performs well on the water, but it needs to be inflated correctly, bad pressure = poor performance, 100% recommend that you buy a seyvelor 12v compressor pump to get correct pressure. The seats are a little difficult to inflate, but when inflating as you get to the correct pressure press down on the valve and they click shut, allowing you to release the pump hose without loosing any pressure. It is comfortable with two adults and a child, but any distance would recommend only two purely for comfort and performance.

Sevylor tahiti plus

Very Disappointed. As the seats are built in to the floor base there is absolutely no support when rowing/using a paddle which makes it very difficult to manoeuvre. Probably OK on a pond with no current or tide no not suitable on rivers/sea etc.
Even more disappointed that no refund available from Go Outdoors (apparently not their responsibility) and Sevylor were not interested. Classic example of loads of help when selling but no help and not interested when there is a problem after purchase. Shame.

Disappointing
2 out of 5

Had two very excited children and excited husband ready to use our new kayak, on a holiday planned around places we could use it. First day of the holiday we got it out and it had caps missing so it couldn't be inflated. It was also very flimsy and poorly made. NOT HAPPY with the purchase

Tahiti plus kayak
2 out of 5

This arrived exactly on time, very efficient. We unpacked it and watched the video a couple of times so we had an idea what we needed to do. The inflation valve is different on our kayak to the one that is on the film and is very hard to cap it before loads of air escapes. Same with the seats. Overall we had a good maiden voyage but the same old story that we still haven't successfully? rolled it up yet. Will try again soon.
