A roomy, sturdy tent with a large living area and plenty of shelter from sun or rain.
With room for six campers in three bedrooms, a spacious living area and a large, sheltered front entrance, the Outwell Palm Coast 600 Tent is great for families or groups of friends.
It's easy to pitch - the outer can go up first or you can do it all in one - and gives you ample room to store gear, set up furniture and relax in comfort.
Outwell's usual attention to detail and superb build quality help to make it a home away from home - and you can make it even more homely by adding the Palm Coast 600 footprint for extra durability and insulation, the Palm Coast 600 carpet for underfoot comfort and warmth, and almost double your sheltered space using the Palm Coast 600 Front Extension.

On the 7th day of use it rained and that's when we realised the entire sleeping end leaks all over. I tried re-proofing it but it's still just as bad.
It's useless unless you know it won't rain.
easy to put up if 2 of you do it
very spacious
very sturdy (approx 35 mph gusts tried & tested personally)
We have owned this tent for 3 years now so I can give various reviews of it in various weather conditions!
General: Easy enough to put up once you do it once and get the knack. At least 2 people are needed to put it up, if not 3 as its quite long and poles need to be held while it can be pegged down. 3 'separate' bedrooms - i.e. 2 partition curtains that make 3 compartments. None completely zip up to make a sealed compartment as some Vango tents do.
Good weather (i.e. with not much wind): Comfortable as you'd expect. If it's hot, expect the inside to be unbearable. This can be remedied with the solar protector sold separately - but read my review on this before you buy!!
Windy weather: We've found this is not a tent that is comfortable in windy weather. HOWEVER, in saying that we have just been through a storm in Wales in it and while we were unable to stay inside the tent as the poles & bedrooms were bending in on us (it was gale force winds!), the next morning the tent was right as rain; no rips, no bent poles, no broken poles and no broken guy ropes. Other peoples' tents had split, broken and ended up in the bin! Prior to this storm we've been in windy Peak district weather and again, the tent was flappy and noisy and felt uncomfortable. Other Outwell tents that have a horizontal pole across the tent seemed sturdier in the wind. We've often referred to our tent as a 'summer' tent. If you are doing mountain camping/windy Peak district etc. then this tent probably isn't for you (although we know now that flappy as it may be, it will withstand gale force 1 winds).
Rain: This tent will not leak with normal rainfall. However, after a sustained amount of rain in Germany that went on for a couple of days, we had leaks from the ceiling and seams. This is when we discovered the solar protector that did indeed protect from the rain (but it doesn't do well in wind ergo the problem with the tent in the wind!).
I haven't given this tent 5 stars as after owning the tent for 2 years, the front door zip came off the teeth and we weren't able to get it back on. We can only use the side door now which is very irritating. Outwell couldn't provide any direction on how or where to get the zip fixed!
All in all we have been relatively happy with this tent but in hindsight with the issues we've had we would probably go for an Outwell again but spend more on a higher-end Outwell.
Bought this tent last year as an upgrade to our very small 4 man tent. Good value as we bought the bundle.
This tent is massive, loads of room to get changed, cook and relax especially in the rain.
We took it to a family festival where it rained a lot, had gail force winds, at one point the tent and touched our noses as it blew in and popped back out. Was dreading checking the poles in the morning but to my surprise only 1 was slightly split. 4 days later with the same weather, no leaking and no broken poles.
Fabulous tent and hope to have many more fun family holidays in it.
Out in brecon beacons no wind or rain 2 poles snap. Could of been a problem if i had not took tape with me with 2 children watching. Travel for 3 hours then nearly had to turn back be aware
We have used our tent a few times in heavy rain and wind and the tent has stood firm.
Its got loads of room for the 2 of us plus the dog :)
im now trying to get a windbreak to match but i cant seem to find the exact shade details of the tent
I have been camping all my life and have never had a pole break on any other tend. I purchased the Palm Coast 600 two years ago and have had a pole snap on all but one occasion. The last time I used the tent I had to repair the rear pole three times whilst putting it up. Then after being up for two days the pole broke again. Other than the pole problems this is a good tent, but the poles are just not strong enough to support the weight of the tent.
Reviewed this tent 1 month after purchase as excellent...2 years on and another dozen camping trips done the Palm Coast 600 still remains an outstanding tent.
No issues with leaking or pole snapping and has been used in all sorts of weather across the UK.
First big problem - the rear left (as looking from front) is baggy. We have put up many tents without problems but regardless of how or where pitched, there is simply no way of making this taut, which inevitably means in rain water will get in.
Second, pole quality. On a windy day, two fiberglass poles split right down the length of one segment. Ended up having to repair these with duct tape, which means they were then out of shape, which led to more problems.
Disappointed given we bought this as an upgrade to an aging Vango which had never let us down.
Just got back from weekend in this tent very spacious good value for money, but highly recommended the bundle deal great for family of 4 loads of light during the day and also toggle curtains make it very snug on a night.
New to camping and this was our first proper camping trip. Loved how easy it was to pitch. It was even easier to to pack up and get back into its bag.
The bundle was brilliant and everything we needed. The little features are great like the small zip for power and the hook and cable tidy for lights..
Really pleased with this tent and the bundle we purchased with it. No problems at all.
We are relatively new to camping; I wanted to be careful not to place too much stress on any of the fibreglass poles when we put it up (because some reviewers reported poles breaking) but we had no problems at all. It was windy one night and I was a bit nervous, but the tent was fine. It is a lovely, roomy tent. Can't wait to go away in it again next year.
We have just returned after a 7 day camping holiday with this tent. I was a bit apprehensive because of the reviews on this tent regarding the poles. It was fantastic. Easy to put up, quick. Very sturdy. We had a little wind and some heavy rain and hail, it coped brilliantly. We purchased the porch as well which was just as brilliant. Somewhere to cook and sit and eat. I would recommend the porch with this tent.
Just purchased this tent and read some mixed reviews before deciding to take the plunge.
I can Honestly say, do not take any notice of any bad reviews that you may read this tent is fantastic, very easy to put up and take down, did it in about 20 minutes. No leaks, no pole issues, no nothing. So much room inside its great.
Take no notice of any bad reviews these people must not know what they are doing and I'm no expert..we used it of 4 days wind rain and shine and i will be buying the add on front porch.
do not hesitate buy this tent..
Arrived promptly and even gave me a few hours delivery time it would be delivered. We erected the tent a few days later to give us a trial run, easily put up with good instructions. What a good, large (to say the least) fabulous tent. Looking forward to testing it out for real in a couple of weeks. Well worth the money, would highly recommend
I brought this tent In Jan 16 and we were very happy with it until we went on our first camping holiday of the year to Wales and we opened the bag put the tent up and then realised that the zip on the door wouldn't close properly. We called go-outdoors and they exchanged the tent in June 16. We didn't use the new tent until July 17 and we went to Cornwall (Looe) we turned up on the campsite pitched the tent and everything looked great. The next day we had a bit of wind and rain and during the wind and rain one of the poles split (This should not happen on your first use) but I replaced this with the spare provided. Also during the wind & rain the tent gained a small tear in the side wall and again I repaired this with the patch provided. At this point we were to say the least unhappy with our purchase but this was not the end of our troubles. We decided to go to sleep and I was woken in the early hours with water dripping all over the bedroom so I got up to investigate and it was like it was raining in the tent. We had no choice but to put clothes and electronics in the car to keep it dry. We then put waterproofs over the sleeping bags and dug in for the rest of the night. In the morning there were big puddles of water all over the tent, everything needed to be dried. We had to empty the tent (lucky the sun was out) to dry everything. I have always brought Vango products and I was advised by shop assistants and looking on the net that Outwell the the leading manufacturer in tents. I don't think I will be buying anything Outwell again.
we went to Lincolnshire for 3 nights and the tent provided us with lots of room to eat.play and rest. The pockets are useful to put your books and iPod in
We are just back from a very wet camping trip in our new tent . Pitching was easy no damage to poles . We had very heavy rain but no problem the tent kept us dry . Packing down again was easy and there's plenty room in the storage bags
On our second trip with this tent, there was a bit of rain, and it leaked terribly. We had puddles everywhere and had to sleep elsewhere. Really poor quality and not what I would expect from Outwell.
