Purchased a pair of these shoes in April and found them extremely comfortable. However wore them dog walking on a wet day in August and my feet got soaked. Returned them to Go Outdoors and they were returned to Salomon for testing. In September l was provided with a replacement pair. Have worn them daily since and on the first wet day they leaked like a sieve. Have returned them to Go Outdoors and chosen another brand. I have been advised that in theory no gtex shoes can be guaranteed waterproof when dog walking on grass. Despite dissatisfaction with Salomon footwear, the service from staff at Go Outdoors was excellent.

This is my third pair, and sadly the last of this design as it appears the next gen have been "upgraded".
I don't like the new version so was very happy to get the last pair of this design which always feel as though they were custom made for me.

These shoes feel like they're made for my feet, extremely comfortable even on first wear, no need to break them in. They grip perfectly on dry surfaces but when walking on damp pavements, I have to slow down because the shoes don't grip well at all. They'd be ok on rough gravelly terrain when wet but I wouldn't hike up hills of soggy grass or rocks. Such a shame because otherwise they really are perfect.

Great walking shoe. Bought a pair earlier in the year and have been really pleased with them, so bought a second pair! Comfy, supportive, very lightweight, good grip. Reasonably waterproof. I can walk miles in these shoes and my feet feel fine at the end , not tired or sore. Good walking shoe

Cant believe a shoe has a car name 'GTX' but these shoes really do deserve the GTX title, they did everything and more than I expected. Extremely comfortable, warm, worked amazingly with mud, gripped like nothing else and I never ever got wet.

Love these shoes. Wore them for the 3 Peaks Challenge on Saturday. I am new to walking and had only wore these shoes once prior to Saturday. I did not get any blisters. The weather was horrendous. It rained all day. I was the only one in the group that had dry feet at the end of the 10 hour walk. Would highly recommend them.

Very pleased with these Salomon walking shoes. Very comfortable, supportive and yet super-lightweight. So far they have proved waterproof. I use them for work as well as longer country dog walks . At the end of a long walk or day at work my feet feel comfy, they don't ache and aren't hot and tired. I would definitely recommend these shoes.

1 month old and only used them in dry conditions, but so far very happy. Comfortable with a good grip.

Only used them once so far but they meet my needs perfectly, not too heavy too wear, felt really secure on a variety of surfaces and easy to fasten too. Wasn't sure about the lace but so far great.

Got these on a price match. Bargain! Super comfy as I have weird feet. Not really tested the waterproof ability yet but given they are shoes rather than boots I'm not holding out much hope as every waterproof shoe I've ever had hadn't stood the rest. However, comfort prevails. And these are the dogs.

Had mine for about 6 months, been to Kilimanjaro amongst other mountains in this country, walk through the muddy wet woods everyday with them, still waterproof and very comfy :-)

I bought a pair of these last year to walk part of SW coastal path. After a few days wear they completely lost their waterproofness as already stated by other reviewers. They are very expensive for a poor quality shoe.

I bought a pair of these on recommendation from Go Outdoors after I literally walked the soles off a pair of Salomon Ellipse Aero shoes after eighteen months of use. My only gripe about the old pair was they weren't waterproof, so I spent more to get these. After a few weeks they had rubbed an enormous corn onto my toe which cost me a fortune to treat at the podiatrist, not to mention lots of money in foam corn plasters! I even spent £25 on a shoe stretcher in an attempt to widen them (left them for three weeks!) and they still rubbed my toe. I have bought another pair of Ellipse to replace them - very disappointed I bought these.

5* and briliant. 100% waterproof, excellent for trail running in super wet high grass and muddy conditions. Incredibly comfy from first wear. I got them from my local go outdors and they did a price match.

Salomon are a great fit, but never buy the speed lacing, the thin lace cuts into the shoe and doesn't last half as long as normal laces.

Bought these about 7 months ago just prior to a holiday. I was worried that I hadn't had enough time to bed them in before wearing them away. But I was so relieved! I wore them every day on holiday and we did A LOT of walking. They're waterproof and very comfortable! Definitely worth the money.

I bought a pair 16 months ago, then after a couple of months injured my achilles tendon and couldn't wear them for the best part of a year. Been wearing them for the last couple of months, last weekend wore them in damp conditions for the first time and they are totally unwaterproof. SERIOUSLY UNIMPRESSED!!

Bought these but will have to take them back as the style and fit seems to have been slightly changed from their previous black and red model so they are just not as comfy and seem to slip on the heels unless you have them really tight. Am gutted as my last pair were the comfiest walking shoes I have had.
