Good product
Purchased this quickly last week as I couldn't find my reels in the garage.
Took it down the coast and was pulling in sea bass and smooth hound all day. Only downside is it wasn't totally smooth when bringing the bigger fish in.
Cheap and nasty
I,ve owned many reals over the years and though id try this based on price and previous reviews. Line was poorly laid on this real and on first retrieve I was immediately disappointed as the real is out of balance. The Spool is poorly finished with rough seams. I used this twice beach fishing casting grip leads. After several hours of catching Whiting and Pout it finally had enough and the main bearing gave up the will to live resulting in complete failure. Fortunately I had the receipt and Go outdoors refunded no problem, spend £5 more and get a Fladen beach real which is more up to the job

I bought this product today, it's a solid piece of kit. The line is substantial and I am looking forward to seeing how it performs as a big pit reel. I think paying a ridiculous amount of money for one is silly, when a sea reel is designed to cast long distances and costs a fifth of the price.
Are we being conned? because it looks exactly the same as other big pit reels I have seen.
Anyway it's worth the money. What a great price!
Ok for price get what you pay for handle a bit squeaky put new pin in handle and bit of oil works OK pulled 3 mackerel on feather in 1 go so works well
