Men's Salomon Footwear Size Guide

Measuring tips

Take your actual body measurements as they are more accurate than measuring over your clothes or shoes.

Feet: Measure your foot (from the heel to the tip of your longest toe) Be sure to measure both feet. Many people have feet of different sizes. Fit to the larger of the two. 

  1. Place a sheet of paper on the floor and against a wall
  2. Make sure you are wearing the same socks that you would normally wear with this type of shoe
  3. Wearing these socks, stand on the sheet of paper with your foot perpendicular to the wall and your heel against the wall.
  4. Then use a pen to draw a line just in front of your big toe. Repeat for both feet and take the longer distance to determine your size.
  5. Using a ruler, measure the distance between the wall and the line you drew to find your size.

Remember, feet can expand over a quarter size during a full day's walk so ensure you get the right fit.

Not waterproof

Sturdy and comfortable but definitely NOT waterproof as advertised. For a few weeks walking in dry conditions, they were fine. But then, after walking in damp conditions my feet got wet through.

Very comfortable

I bought a pair of 9 (usually take an 8) the 8 were a bit tight. The 9 is perfect. I regularly walk on fairly flat terrain approx 5-6 miles, and these are the best walking boots I've had.

Not waterproof in the slightest

I bought these boots for a camping trip and couldn’t be more dissatisfied with them. They got wet when I was breaking them in and the water came straight through. I was only walking through wet grass.
