Lightweight, high-speed hiking shoes enhanced with GORE-TEX® waterproof technology.
The demands of the trail are no match for the Merrell West Rim Hiking Shoes. In addition to the high-performance waterproof technology, a bellows tongue helps to keep sand, debris and puddle splashes from entering the shoe.
Cushioning EVA foam is used in the midsole to provide comfort while supportive shock-absorbing pads dampen impacts on rough terrain.

Measuring tips
Take your actual body measurements as they are more accurate than measuring over your clothes or shoes.
Feet: Use a ruler or tape measure to measure your foot (from the heel to the tip of your longest toe) Be sure to measure both feet. Many people have feet of different sizes. Fit to the larger of the two.
Remember, feet can expand over a quarter size during a full day's walk so ensure you get the right fit.

Not even 6 months old, already split and letting in water
Instead of cheaper waterproof hiking shoes i thought i'd buy a decent pair for dog walking.
Not 6 months old yet already have split where the sole meets the upper. Hence wet feet.
Bad Quality!!!
Dont bother
Comfy to start but First pair the heel wore out under two months of general use. Replaced no problem in store. Second pair didnt last much longer, the heel rubbed out again and the soles wore away
Still a great shoe
Reviewed these in May when they were new. 6 months later mine are intact, waterproof and have stretched a little so they are now very comfortable.

Terrible in that they are not waterproof at all. Walking through wet grass is enough for my socks to be soaking wet at the toes!

Comfortable shoe but after 8 weeks noticed my feet were soaking wet. The seams had split where the sole and upper meet on both shoes. Would not recommend. Returned to retailer who refunded.
Worst shoe I’ve ever owned
Worst shoe I’ve ever owned, I’m a size 10, never had any problems with sizing except for these, very small fit, thought they would break in but can even wear them long enough to do that,give them away
Rubbish quality!
With daily use of about 6 miles a day these started to fall apart after about 5 weeks. After 2 months the upper separated from the sole along the outside of the left shoe and they were unusable.

£135 for walking shoes that have ruined the ball of my feet with skin tear/peeling - awful 0/10 would not recommend
Waste of money
Didn't even last two months and the sole started pealing away. Once that happened they started letting in water and the rest of the shoe started falling apart.
Poor quality - not worthy of the Merrill name
3 months of casual wear and the uppers have parted company with the soles. The synthetic material is thinner than tissue paper! Not worth the money being charged. Dreadfully poor quality.
Great shoe but a little narrow
Have had and worn them for 10 days without any blisters . They have a good grip and (so far) don't leak. I have given them 4 stars as they are a little narrow (maybe they'll stretch with time)
Absolute rubbish ,narrow shoe,poor plastic quality sole. A cheap version of the once regarded great name in walking shoes, feels like a £30 shoe . what has happened MERRELL.
