Not cheap but worth the money

Poor sole
My original MOABs lasted 15 years. Now after 4 years of light use of my new ones the heels are worn through and picking up lots of tiny stones. Uppers in great nick and still comfortable but won’t buy

Best by a mile
Had a pair for 2 years and I've walked Dartmoore, the Devon and Cornwall coast, Suffolk Norfolk Broads, North Yorkshire, Midlands They're Brilliant still waterproof

Merely, Merely - no thanks
I bought a pair of these -reassured the soles would not transmit stone impacts. In practice they do and also lack lateral stiffness. The 'waterproof' claim didn't last long - they leak. Never again

Waterproof?
I must say that these shoes were comfortable straight out of the box. Having now used them for a couple of months, they are even more comfy. Don't walk in wet grass because you will get wet feet.

Sole splitting from shoe already.
Purchased in 2023 and after only a few wears the sole is separating from the upper on the right shoe. Hugely disappointed as I thought that by buying Merrell they would last but clearly not.

Disappointingly poor quality
Owned theses shoes for about 18 months, I mistakenly thought I was spending more to buy a trusted high quality shoe but both shoes started to split on both sides. I don’t do any rugged walking either!

Absolutely superb
These are exceptionally comfortable straight out of the box. They look amazing, the quality is brilliant and so far 100% waterproof.

Same issue! As waterproof as a sieve
I've been happy with Merrell shoes before. I chose the Gortex "Guaranteed to keep you dry" version this time. Trade description violation; more akin to a sponge. GO did the decent thing and refunded.

Unfit for purpose
Comfortable and look ok
100% NOT waterproof,
Sole has detached at rear of right shoe, sole starting to detach from left shoe. Material startied to split on both shoes.

100% not waterproof in any way or hardwearing
Comfortable lightweight supportive are all things you can say about this walking shoe.
waterproof or hardwearing they are not, I look at slightly damp grass and my feet are wet.

Have had these shoes about 6weeks. Walked the dog in the park on wet grass for half hour and got wet feet.

Comfortable, waterproof and light
After 6 months with no problems I enjoy the lightness of these.
My foot is held in place and the sole has great grip in a wider toe box.

Comfortable walking shoes straight out of the box, I mainly walk on the beach and occasionally on woodland trails. You need to waterproof shoes regularly to avoid wet feet. Lasted two years well worth it.
