The tongue is connected to the upper on both sides, preventing debris from entering the shoe, and keeping the tongue centred. The Ortholite® insole is shaped closely to the inner shoe to make your journey from the bottom to the top of the hill as stress-free as possible whilst making your foot sweat less.
Furthermore, the mudguard does what is says on the tin by shielding the lateral and medial sides of the foot from mud and debris.

Belting Boots, Comfortable, Waterproof & Durable.
Always loved Salomon so not disappointed with these one bit! I generally size up with Salomon which gives me the best comfort. Great boot from day 1, no breaking in needed, roomy toe box which is +.

My second pair of Salomon boots
Just as comfy as my old pair of Salomons that lasted 7 years. Defiantly worth the expense. They are comfy from their first outing and provide the support I need. Go up 1/2 size on your normal size.

Not wide fitting
Lovely boots but not wide enough to be comfortable for me. I have seen them listed on web sites as ideal for wide feet, not so in my opinion.

Comfortable - but not waterproof
The boots were comfortable from the outset but they are not waterproof. After an hour in heavy, but not torrential, rain walking on wet ground, my feet were wet. Will keep for dry conditions only.

I do several hikes...
I do several hikes throughout the year and safety always comes first. These boots provide me not only the safety aspect but they are comfy too!
I had same type of Salomon boots prior which lasted 3 years.
I would highly recommend!

Had three pairs of these and had to return them all. They all split across the toes and leaked within a few months. Worn Salomon for 10 years, but the quality seems to have dropped off a cliff.
