I used to have the Berghaus Remote 30 II but after it got damaged I struggled to find the exact same one again. After a lot of research I settled on this from Osprey.
I bought this backpack for doing the daily commute to work but also for the monthly walk in the Yorkshire Dales/Lake District. So far everything about the bag seems great.
When commuting the main compartment has a lot of space and use the laptop sleeve for my MacBook. It easily fits in a packed lunch and a waterproof layer. Even though it is 28L, it seems bigger than my last 30L rucksack. The second compartment works well to store a mobile phone and other accessories.
When on a day hike I have easily been able to fit everything I've needed - extra layers, snacks, gloves, hat, camera, accessories, first aid kit etc.
Overall a bit more expensive than other brands but so far I have been extremely happy.
