Warmth, comfort and winter weather protection, with minimal weight - with Limited Edition Web Exclusive colours available now.

The OEX Zenon Ultra LT Jacket is a very lightweight insulation layer that will keep you warm and comfortable through damp and freezing conditions.

Designed for fast-moving winter activity, it's made using a hardwearing ripstop outer shell with a DWR treatment that makes light rain bead up and shake off, rather than soaking in to let you get cold. The hydrophobic down fill doesn't clump together and will retains its loft even when it gets damp, retaining a decent level of your warmth inside.

It's VERY light and packs away into its own pocket, so it won't take up excessive kit space or weigh you down. The low weight also means it's super-comfortable - you can hardly feel you're wearing it, apart from the warmth!

The OEX Zenon has been selected by outdoorsmagic.com for their Outdoor 100, showcasing the best outdoor products on the market for Winter 2017, and has also been nominated for The Great Outdoors Awards 2017 by tgomagazine.co.uk.

Men's Clothing size guide

Measuring tips

Take your actual body measurements as they are more accurate than measuring over your clothes or shoes.

Collar: Measure around the base of the neck where the collar sits.

Chest: Measure the chest at the fullest part, placing the tape close up under the arms.

Waist: Measure the natural waistline.

Inside Leg: Measure from the crotch to where your trouser is normally worn on the shoe.

Jacket Length: Measure from the centre back of your neck to your hemline. The length measurement will vary depending on the style.

Feet: Use a ruler or tape measure to measure your foot (from the heel to the tip of your longest toe) Be sure to measure both feet. Many people have feet of different sizes. Fit to the larger of the two.

I like it a lot

Got this to keep as an emergency layer in my MTB pack for use in emergencies while out biking. Used a few times over the winter whilst dealing with mechanicals / food stops etc. Perfect for what I wanted. No issues for me with loss of down yet, but to be fair it’s only been out of the bag a few times. Was going to get one for my son for the same use, but they appear to have discontinued it...

Spend the extra money, get the Rab one.

While this jacket will keep you warm, I have doubts about how long it will last, as the sleeves leak down all the time. It makes it look like you have been plucking chickens. A steady stream of feathers come out of the seams along the arms.

Cheap and after about a week, it looks it.

My advice: Spend the extra money and get a Rab one.

Leaks feathers rapidly, do not buy.

So so angry at go outdoors for this. I shelled out the money thinking I got a great jacket. Super light and incredibly warm and comfy. However as many other reviewers have pointed out this thing leaks feathers so fast. I've only had mine for a couple of weeks and its already lost about 1/4 of the feathers

Punctures,punctures

Thought I'd get myself a good quality down mid layer but this is defiantly not one. Its the first insulated jacket I've ever owned that leaks down and is about as strong as a carrier bag.
As new it was superb but that was only for a week then the down started to escape. The outer fabric is so fragile that the slightest of contact with anything causes it to puncture.
I've usually used Rab products and will be moving back to them.
it's the biggest waste of 130 Pounds I've ever known. Fragile beyond belief, avoid like the plague.

Great Product

Super light, super warm, looks good, excellent value. It doesn’t get any better than that. Couldn’t be more happy with my purchase

Feathers shedding....

Feathers do shed however it is warm, light and comfortable. It’s a shame that the feathers shed, everything else is all you want but it is lead down due to this issue, I have had it for 2 days and already seeing a fair amount of shedding, don’t like leaving them in the jacket hanging out as it makes the jacket look bad and seeming bad when it’s not! Do u think it is worth sending it back due to the shedding?

Feathers Leeked

Within a week feathers leaking from tiny holes from normal use. Not only decreasing the warmth of the coat, but also getting everywhere in the process.

Feathers leaked

When I got this coat it was so warm and snug (3 weeks ago), however, within a day the feathers started leaking from it. They get absolutely everywhere and although the coat is still warm, it's nowhere near as warm as it was. For the price of the coat, I would have expected much better quality. Will not be buying from this brand again.

Top value

This is probably the bargain of the year. A top quality and highly technical piece of kit. That looks great and has real quality in the usability.

Awesome

Have had this now about 5 months & have to say it’s worth every penny. I’d heard reports that a lot of the down escaped through the seems, but I’ve had no trouble at all. It’s so warm & I even ventured out on a particularly cold day with just a T shirt & stayed toastie. It folds into it’s own pocket but I had trouble doing that but can confirm it does fold down to a very small pack. The only doubt is it feels so thin I think it’s going to tear like it’s made of paper, but as yet no rips or tears & I’ve gone through a few thick bushes. I went for the carrot colour & wasn’t disappointed. If you get one, it won’t disappoint.

Waste of money

For the price you pay, you are better off with a well known brand. Feathers don't stay in the coat I caught mine on a picnic bench and was left with a hole. Hold the coat up to light and you can see through it. Very disappointed as I do have other oex gear which is OK.

Great jacket

Couldn’t believe how light and warm this jacket is. Yes it does “lose” a little down but exceeds my expectations in every other way.

Warm but not durable

So I bought this jacket for walks along the coast and In the new Forrest at 1st glance the jacket was perfect what I needed something light but warm. On the first outing the weather was cold so I looked forward to getting out in the elements, walking threw the woods I caught the jacket on the branch which left a nice hole in the arm I now have multipal holes.
Long story short
Quality need to be a lot more durable
Warm is perfect
Materials need to be stronger and personally ide like abit more down filling in the jacket as ithe down compacts just abit to fast
I personally would aim this jacket as a SS jacket instead of winter

No more frathers

A great lightweight warm jack but very quickly begins to shed all feathers leaving your car and other clothing covered in them

Excellent Buy

I ordered the jacket because i work in a Kennels which involves a lot of dog walking/free running. I needed a jacket that was not too bulky, but kept me warm and dry, and what better test for it than in the current sub-zero weather conditions across the Country. As a relatively experienced 'outdoors' person across many parts of Britain, i wear, as standard in very cold conditions, multiple layers of clothing ie.breathable thinner layers, with a heavier fleece. These are generally enough to keep the torso warm, but in the current snow and often blizzard conditions, a good quality top coat is a must. I was truly surprised at how unbelievably light and thin this jacket is, despite the description of it stating such, and honestly believed i had made a mistake in not ordering a much thicker coat! Well, i now had the perfect opportunity to test it out and hence the 5 STAR Rating. At one stage i was covered in snow and i simply brushed it off with no dampness on the jacket. And as for warmth: it does as the manufacturer says. I never once felt any cold through it. It is an excellent wind protector too. The only drawback i can say is, the hood would definitely benefit from a draw-string as walking in to sudden gusts of wind, causes the hood to 'inflate', which can be very cold around the face and ears. However, i often wear a Trappers hat anyway, with adequate ear and head warmth. In more severe weather conditions, it is advisable to wear a good quality hat too, as the hood is rather looser fitting. That is the only, hopefully constructive, criticism i have with it. Despite this, i will still give it a 5 star rating. Very impressed with the Jacket!

Great down jacket

The jacket is as light as a feather, easily packed away.and warm.
Water bubbles up on the jacket, not been out in heavy rain
The zip seams a little flimsy.
Pity that the hood doesn’t fold away, but overall very happy with it.

Great for skiing

I wear this under a hard shell with a base merino layer on. It's so thin and light it hardly feels like it's there, but the difference it makes to heat retention is absolutely excellent. Well worth the investment.

OEX Zenon Ultra LT Down Jacket

This down jacket is excellent. It's incredibly light, really warm and very stylish. This product shows that it is possible for function and fashion to go hand in hand. There is only one thing that wold make it perfect and that is if the hood had a drawstring. The neck zips right up to keep your chin lovely and warm but then your forehead gets cold! A drawstring would keep both forehead and chin warm. It's a great jacket though so I'm keeping it and wearing a Beanie as well.
