Scarpa footwear is made in European sizes, which allows for a more accurate fit as the 'gaps' between sizes are smaller. Each European size is roughly 3/4 of a UK size.
As with all walking footwear, we advise moving up a size from your normal shoe size to allow room for thicker socks and for your feet to expand during a long walk. If you fall between sizes you should always go for the larger size.
We have trained footwear advisors in all of our stores - if you have trouble finding the right boot for you please pay us a visit and we'll be happy to help. You can also find out more about choosing, fitting and caring for walking footwear in our online Footwear Buying Guide.
These boots are truly great if you need a good tuff strong supportive boot. Scarpa have been making boots for along time and they know what works. Mine in size 9/ 43 fit like a glove and since I have happy feet which is key to having great outdoor experience. My scarpa will give me many years of feet love to come and I have faith in there product not falling as so many other cheep fabric brands do. Trust me and I'm not just saying this but it is worth the extra knowing you got the best and when there on your feet you will know it. Many thanks to company's like scarpa that give us these great products. And thanks Go Outdoors great service.
Ordered these Scarpa boots and received them the next day by 08.30. Very comfortable and supportive well worth the money. Have worn them every day since and they are breaking in nicely have no problem recommending these and Go Outdoors via their website.
Back in the 90s had a pair of Scarpa 4 season SLs that proved to be the best boots I ever owned
Recently returned to the UK and, wanting to start walking again immediately, bought some cheaper, though highly regarded, boots (hitec)
Proved to be pretty cheap and nasty (admittedly didn't cost a lot), so bit the bullet and, in a sale, bought these.
Everything I remember about Scarpa boots is still there; these babies fit like slippers right out the box, beatifully supportive, supple, best price in the UK from Go
Took on board the recommendation from JLo above and bought the Scarpa cream too. I want to treat my babies good
Thoroughly recommended.
I've been through several pairs of boots in the last 2 years, all largely mixed fabric/leather boots with GoreTex lining, each failing to stay waterproof after a few months.
I also tried a pair of the Scarpa Terra, which nearly broke my foot in half due to a badly sewn seam rubbing on my metatarsel.
After a pair of Mammut Mercury failed on me, I decided to go for a full leather boot and the Scarpa Delta fit like a glove (I also tested several Brashers and Meindl).
The Scarpa Delta are a thick leather boot without GoreTex lining, which invariably always fails after a few months of daily wear. Despite the thick leather, they are remarkably comfortable on first wear and break in nicely after a month or so.
I also purchased the Scarpa HS12 cream which I have applied twice now to keep waterproof but have not had any problems other than a little surface absorption which the reproofing will fix, as I initially did not put much cream on them due to a quite waxy finish on the new leather. Now they've worn in a bit the cream has been lathered on, set and polished and water now runs off like a duck's back.
My only gripe is they've reduced the price after I only bought them a little over a month ago but I really needed them in the rainy days since purchasing.
Made in Romania, not Italy as the more expensive Scarpas, though quality still seems excellent.
