Take your actual body measurements as they are more accurate than measuring over your clothes or shoes.
Collar: Measure around the base of the neck where the collar sits.
Chest: Measure the chest at the fullest part, placing the tape close up under the arms.
Waist: Measure the natural waistline.
Inside Leg: Measure from the crotch to where your trouser is normally worn on the shoe.
Jacket Length: Measure from the centre back of your neck to your hemline. The length measurement will vary depending on the style.
Feet: Use a ruler or tape measure to measure your foot (from the heel to the tip of your longest toe) Be sure to measure both feet. Many people have feet of different sizes. Fit to the larger of the two.
1/2 the price of other brands. Hugging fit. In L/XL it's about 1" shorter in torso and 2" shorter in the arms than L in Smartwool. If that's not an issue then go for it. So far wearing & washing well.
I have used this top both hiking and on long distance fell runs. I found it's wicking abilities on the run to be excellent, it was commented on by the group how well it was performing. I would recommend to anyone wanting an affordable priced Merino top.
This is an excellent product, close fitting but not tight, warm and light. I've used it extensively on multi-pitch rock routes in Britain and the Dolomites because it can be rolled small and carried round the waist easily, then quickly put on for belaying or if the temperature drops. The zipped top is also very useful for temperature control. My wife also has two and uses them all the time for riding; she finds them ideal.
I work in air-conditioned room and it can get really cold so I was looking for Merino wool top and saw this on go outdoors website. As it was in the sale I thought I would give it a go,so far so good.It is a lot warmer than mine over traditional thermal tops it also washes well and keeps its shape. I am thinking of buying another one and would recommend it.
This seems a decent warm base layer but having only worn it three times a rip appeared in the arm around the bicep. Possibly as the garment is tight fitting the rip occured when rearranging the sleeve having donned a midlayer on top of it, but any garment should be able to withstand a bit of pulling. Very poor. Unfortunately I didn't keep the receipt so I probably won't even manage to get my money back,
I'm a great fan of Merino wool products. With winter coming, I was on the lookout for some warm gear. I came across this top, It's well made and feels very comfortable next to the skin; it was on sale at £25, which, in my mind, was a real bargain! It compares well to more expensive merino wool products I already have and the fit and cut of the garment was very good. This garment will function well on its own keeping you warm in cooler climes as well as working well as base element of a layering system in colder climates.
Bought this top thinking it was good quality but within 3 week it started to get holes in the back from no where.I took it back and the staff at go outdoors had no problem with exchanging it and were very help full. But the one i exchanged it for also did the same but on the front this was within 4 weeks i never took the second back but should have done.
I am so pleased with this product. I have been looking for a replacement base layer which is both comfortable and warm which does not restrict my movement as many do.
I have found the perfect match from North Ridge
Bought both the top and bottoms to keep me warm while I stand around in a field in the middle of winter. Happy with my purchase as they certainly help keep me warm in around 0.5 degrees C temperatures and feel very comfortable. Not cheap but worth it in my view, would buy again if I lost them.
Being worn as a mid layer over bamboo t. No pong to report after multi day use on bike rides.
Nice close neck closure, bit long in the arms but good length in the body. has washed fine. Love it.
