Rod looked great but added a better reel but sadly first fish
my grandson caught snapped it but it was a carp of about 8lb
So this real would probably be fine with smaller fish

I bought this rod because I had bought a better rod for click and collect and it wasn’t delivered in time for my session. I bought this rod in the meantime and it got a little snag and snapped in half

Very disappointing first time I used it i got a snag, pulled it a few times and the rod snaps in half

Great travel rod, same as other reviews however, poor reel. Can get very tangled very quickly

Awesome little carry around.
I leave it fully set and have it in my car.
Well worth the money for easy and quick fishing.

The top part of the rod kept sticking and would not retract

Certainly good value for money and I couldn't believe how compact it was certainly ideal for travelling. I have used it at the local carp pool as a trial and landed numerius carps between 2 and 3lb but the one that was amazing was the 12lb carp and the rod stood up to the weight extremely pleased and would definately recommend.

Bought this mainly for holidays, nice and light and fits in the case easily.Also got the case for another £10 which takes a few weights and a pack of hooks, all you need for a quick sea session
The only downside is the poor line, twists terribly, but that's easily changed in a few minutes

Bought this for an hours river fishing on the way back from work every Friday and I am very pleased with it.
Small enough to not get noticed in a day bag alongside my sandwiches and flask using the bag that is sold to go with it.
I recommend using lines around 4lb or thereabouts and setting the front drag of the real accordingly and with experience and if the fishing environment allows decent size fish can be played on it with 6lb line but that would be the line limit in my opinion, with at least some front drag and not fully screwing the spool down and using it close in, basically this rod is not up for a great deal of abuse, the cheaper fibre glass version even less so, but if used correctly it certainly fits a niche for the spontaneous fisherman and is great fun to use targeting the smaller species of freshwater fish.

what a waste of money bought one of these on the 5th December for my holiday away . first cast fine then the handle broke on the reel so had to buy new reel, was catching small bream and then caught a small one rod snapped right at the reel connection point pulled the fish in or should I say fish finger in a total was of time avoid at all cost

Well saw this mini rod and had to have it. Took following morning up canal. Ideal spinning rod and very accurate on cast. Had a 4lb Pike on it and playes it well. Did change reel to larger one. Worth every penny and ideal to have in motor.
