worked great and kept our very boisterous dog secured, the only negitive i had was i had to use a large stick to help to twist it into the ground as it was hard to grip but its not hard to find a stick or use a walking pole .

This product did the job. Would recommend.

Used this about 4 or 5 times to stake our dogs whilst camping/hiking. My partner was unscrewing it from the ground and the handle broke off. Cheap quality metal that will not last.

Not had a chance to use this yet but the build quality is very solid and was excellent value for money.

Took longer to drive into the ground than it stayed in once the dog was attached. Lasted less than 30 seconds. ONLY USE ON A DOG THAT DOESN'T PULL

Easy to install and use with dog cable. Unfortunately if your dog like ours likes to pull a lot then probably won't last long in the ground.

I found this impossible to screw into the ground. I only managed to get it half way in and that meant that my dog could pull it over.

Hi, found this "dog stake," very useful, when i saw it on the shelf in Go out doors , my first thought was Kite Stake , then i realised it had another use ,Dog Stake ! i can now hook my Kite on it and the dog , while he barks at the Kite i can have a butty . fabulous ...

Read some other reviews ...depends on the size and nature of the dog...daughters dog is a cross whippet/ Labrador...medium size good natured no issue with build...east to screw in ...out....so did the job

Simple products are always the best. Excellent gadget, you just attach your dogs lead to the product. A must for all dog owners when camping.

Just what we wanted,been looking since we bought our new puppy.now feel a lot safer while camping.

Strong and sturdy and kept my Doberman in place.

I used the product on various terrain from sand to solid grass and for the product to work a properly you need to screw it so the ring is flush so you may get half way down and hit a root or a rock so you will have screw it out and start again.

Put the spike into the ground while camping at the south downs. First use. Top snapped off, no tether for dog.
Rubbish product. Waste of money. Weekend saved by fence post

Sturdy and strong

I have a 17kg energetic dog and this kept him at bay. He tested it a few times and quickly realised he wasnt going anywhere.

Screwing it into the ground can be a bit tough in hard ground and could do with a bit more leverage when twisting. I managed but my wife struggled. On Grass it is pretty easy.

Would have liked the eyelet to be a bit bigger or use a carabina style eyelet instead. We resorted to using the handle as the tethering point instead.

Saw loads of people using them whilst camping so seems popular and overall does what it is supposed to do.

We use these to secure our dog whilst away in our Campervan. When screwed in the ground fully they do the job and we have a medium size very active and excitable hound!

This wasn't a very good product, I have a spaniel and he still managed to bend it, I'm not sure it would hold up with a bigger dog. I wouldn't recommend.

Does what it says ideal for fixing the dogs...on their leads

Works well - used on softish ground but it was strong and stayed put - but easy enough to move around. Bigger and sturdier than I thought it would be.

I have a very strong dog, and was it 2 minds whether to purchase this as I though he may just pull it straight out.

But this stayed 100% stuck in the ground throughout the whole time we were using it, no matter how many times he yanked and pulled on it. It's great to have the peace of mind that this can keep him safe in one place, without having to be constantly watching wondering if he's broken it.

Great value too, I would definitely recommend to any dog owner.
