I purchased my Jacket from Northern Rambler’s Exeter over. 30 years ago, It has never leaked or lat me down in all that time and is still totally water proof and extremely comfortable, SIMPLY THE BEST

Cascada jacket
4 out of 5

Bought this to replace a 6 year old Paramo ALTA jacket after the zip broke. Otherwise it was excellent and dealt with everything Scottish weather through at it. Worn on a regular basis throughout the year in all seasons. and as they say it gives unparalleled comfort in wet weather. The Cascada jacket so far has been the same it's lightweight, packs down really well but springs back into shape with minimal wrinkles. Like the previous one I find it really wind and waterproof. Better than older Gortex jackets I've owned. These are meant to be worn and look respectable and in keeping wherever you find yourself. When you wash them retreat them using recommended proofing and they don't let you down. I'll get a zip fitted on the older one privately as the companies repair window at present is far to long to be without a proper jacket. Even though that will cancel the lifetime guarantee I have certainly had my monies worth from it. I expect the same quality from this

Not impressed

Bought this coat three years ago but have hardly worn it. Put it on today as it was heavy rain and it leaked like a siv, my arms and back were wet through, so much for quality, not impressed.

Great quality, very much waterproof but light weight - affordable too - doesn't compromise on style or quality

Brilliant lightweight bit of kit. I am amazed at how small it will pack and still open out and look presentable. Not used it in really severe weather yet, but so far it is excellent

Still the most weatherproof and comfortable of all

This was a renewal of my Paramo Jacket, with a slight trade down from the Pajaro to the Cascade.I cannot speak too highly of these clothes (I also have the trousers), wonderfully comfortable and water- and wind-proof. If thinking of buying one, the only caveats are 1) they are 4 seasons in Scotland but too warm for the Alps in Summer, and 2) they do tear easily if caught on a thorn, fence or rock. Otherwise just wonderful!

Paramo Cascada Jacket
4 out of 5

Bought this jacket 3 years ago and with a lifetime guarantee was very satisfied until the main zip suddenly broke. Missing teeth from the plastic zip. Not impressed for a jacket currently listed at nearly 200 quid! Even less impressed when Paramo quoted me 47.50 to repair. So much for a liifetime guarantee. Won't be buying Paramo products again.

Paramo Cascada Jacket
4 out of 5

Approaching 83, with 70+ years' outdoor experience and many waterproofs, my Paramo Cascada is unquestionably the best ever. For twelve years has been worn daily in all weathers for dog walking, and extensively on Scottish hills. Reproofed annually, it has never failed to keep me completely dry. Plenty of freedom for layering underneath for winter. Cannot recommend too highly.

2ND CASCADA 12 YEARS ON
4 out of 5

I didn't purchase my Cascada from GoOutdoors in 2003, but am considering replacing it as I use it autumn/winter/spring as my go-to jacket on the hills, on the coast, shopping or going to my London office. It has been attacked by everything British weather can manage in some pretty wild spots in Snowdonia and the Lakes, and keeps me far more comfortable than top class goretex - which may be why some of the Mountain rescue people swear by their higher spec'd paramo kit. I bought my first in 1992, and was only replaced when they introduced the rollaway hood which makes it more town-friendly. I regularly wash and reproof, but after all this use it is beginning to look a bit scruffy, though still absolutely waterproof (in effect - technically speaking it may not be because of the way the system works) compared with goretex (still remember getting really chilled coming down from the Carneddau on a cool humid day in my top spec'd goretex). My wife also is on her second Cascada. I genuinely cannot understand the less good reviews, but obviously it works better for some than for others I guess.

Excellent service from the staff - nothing was too much trouble.
Very happy with the gear purchased and they price matched without any fuss.
Cannot recommend them more highly having done my homework in other stores in Manchester and online.
