I have had the boots just over 2 years and I only where them when out walking.
Unfortunately the eyelet has come of on my right boot.
My boots have plenty more miles on them.
Poor workmanship.

Took a pair to the Philippines, comfortable fit nice on long hikes, however, I did not wear them for 5 months, when I wore them again for a 10k hike both soles completely fell off.

Great for dry days in summer but no good for wet days or walking on wet ground as they are always soaked through by end. Hardly waterproof at all.
Disappointing considering the price.

Great looking boot, extremely comfortable, BUT after only the 2nd 14 Mile hike the right boot started squeaking. Go outdoors staff happily changed the boots and said to return them if same happens.

I bought these in Aug 2019. I use them to walk the dog for an hour every morning and evening. By Jan, they began leaking at crease despite regular protection. Now both boots have split at the sides.

These boots are about 6 months old and the most I've ever spent on walking boots. They have been super comfortable and very waterproof but 4 hooks have fallen out in two days. Cant be repaired!!!!!

comfortable boot,i only use on walks with dog,and a few times in the dales,had no problems build quality but these boots are not waterproof,tried using a waterproofing product but still leak,rubbish

Great boots, but later they leaked, I took them back to Go Outdoors, they didn’t want to know, they have a 2year warranty, so I’ve now sorted it with Salomon Buy from Salomon direct or other supplier

Narrow heel last = blisters. leak like a sieve even after grangers proofing, contigrip is dangerous in the wet. Not worth the money

When i first bought these boots i thought i had found the perfect boot, they were very comfortable straight out of the box, were very well made and not too heavy. Until recently i was very happy, that was until we started getting some wet weather. The wet grip on these boots is very poor, bordering on dangerous if you are on the mountains in the Lake District, they loose grip very easily, even on the flat they don't have much grip.

I thought it might just be me so i asked my boss at work who bought a pair about the same time as me, and he agreed with me, he said they were terrible in the wet and is just going to use them as a summer boot. I also spoke to an assistant in Go Outdoors where i bought them from and they said they had had quite a few people say the wet grip was poor as well.

I tested them against a pair of Meindl Kapstadt's that have a Vibram sole on and the difference was like night and day, the Vibram soles stuck like glue as Vibram soles always do. I have never had a bad Vibram sole.

So overall i am now very disappointed with these boots, if Salomon could make this boot with a Vibram sole i think they would have the perfect hiking boot.

bought the boots august 2018 and they are now falling to bits and constantly leaking sole shows moderate ware and the odd piece of rubber has come off will be returning them this weekend see how it go

A good lightweight boot for summer hiking but be aware that you are unlikely to get more than one or two seasons out of them before they're shot.

I bought these boots yesterday from the Stockton on Tees store. I had a few errands to run in town then went walking. I then walked 11 miles in these new boots fresh out the box, great product

My first Salomon boots having previously stuck with Hi-Tec. I have a shallow and narrow feet and can honestly say that these boots were a great fit straight out of the box, they are lighter than my previous V-lites and are extremely comfortable..no sign of blisters or even hot spots on my feet after a number of 5 - 10 mile day hikes. They haven't seen any really wet weather yet so I can't comment of the waterproofing. Overall, I couldn't be happier!

Having purchased these i find them too narrow for the width of my feet. I have never had this trouble with boots before however these boots make my feet ache after a good walk because of the lack of room in them.

Purchased these boots from Swansea branch, Chris was brilliant, I have oddsize feet so getting boots to fit is always a time consuming operation, I must have tried on at least 8 pairs of boots and settled on these salomon, I've never owned this brand as was very impressed with the support and especially the grip, these boots stick like glue. I had to go up a full size and they needed breaking in but with a roll of duck tape to pad my hotspots the boots were broken after around 25 miles. Now they are like slippers . These will not be my last pair of salomon from go outdoors and Chris was very patient and understanding. Thank you

Hi, I purchased these boots a couple of week ago. I have since walked up the back end of winter hill in Lancashire. I walked through a very wet peat bog at times up to my ankles and I'm happy to say my feet were bone dry. These are excellent boots, they don't need breaking in. It was a very wet day and these are the most comfortable boots I've worn..

Excellent sturdy boot with good ankle support used once down lakes so far on a 20k walk no issues at all there small fitting im a size 9 had to get size 9 1/2

I’ve had these boots 13 months now and while they are very comfortable and easy to break in the soles are not fit for purpose.
I’ve completed 4x12 mile walks in that time and used them for daily 2-3 miles walks over mixed tarmac, grass and dirt so I wouldn’t say they’ve had a hard time. The tread has virtually gone with my left boot worn through at the heal. I asked Salomon to look at these as I was concerned after 8 months of ownership only to hear they don’t cover material wear!
After 20 years of being a Salomon customer this was disappointing, as I expected them to last a lot longer than this.
So if you need a good looking pair of boots for a stroll to the shop and back these are for you.

I’ve been on the look out for a sturdy light pair of hiking boots and these fit the bill.

My previous Salomon Ultra Mid GTX, though superb, I could only class as a trainer that lasted a year of moderate hiking. Routeburn, Humpridge etc.

These on the other hand are way tougher, with the same comfortable fit. Looking forward to hitting the hills.

Awesome service from the crew at GO Outdoors. I can’t recommend them enough. Less than a week turnaround delivered to door on the other side of the world. Pretty good going by today’s standards.
