Designed for maximum comfort with today's technical approach footwear, the 1000 Mile Ultimate Tactel® Approach Sock has a 100% Tactel® inner layer that stays with the foot, wicking away moisture, whilst the soft merino wool-mix outer moves with the shoe, reducing friction and helping to prevent blisters and reduce wear.
The unique combination of fibres maintains a comfortable temperature for the foot.
They're designed to be worn for 2 season walking and off-road activities in lightweight boots, as well as approach or trail shoes.

- Heel Power grips the heel firmly in place - so no slippage!
- Double layer construction eliminates friction between foot and shoe, reducing wear and preventing blisters

Measuring tips
Take your actual body measurements as they are more accurate than measuring over your clothes or shoes.
Feet: Use a ruler or tape measure to measure your foot (from the heel to the tip of your longest toe) Be sure to measure both feet. Many people have feet of different sizes. Fit to the larger of the two.
Remember, feet can expand over a quarter size during a full day's walk so ensure you get the right fit.

1000 Mile Socks
I also bought two pairs of these socks. They came highly recommended by serious walkers who had no blisters.
I however, got the biggest blister on the ball of my foot and a small blister on my little toe.
This has been very painful. I shall be returning the socks for a full refund.
Guaranteed blisters
I bought two pairs of these socks as I was walking the north Norfolk coastal path, 47 miles over two days. They are advertised as guarantee no blisters. I got blisters on the balls of both feet within ten miles, as well as a couple of other blisters on my heel and toes. They feel lovely and soft but aren't suitable for a long distance.
Wore these to walk for 6 hours up and down scafell pike. I usually get large blisters on a long walk like this.They were good at blister prevention. . No blisters on balls of feet and a very tiny on one heel. A vast improvement for me
