Men's Footwear Size Guide

Measuring tips

Take your actual body measurements as they are more accurate than measuring over your clothes or shoes.

Feet: Use a ruler or tape measure to measure your foot (from the heel to the tip of your longest toe) Be sure to measure both feet. Many people have feet of different sizes. Fit to the larger of the two.

Remember, feet can expand over a quarter size during a full day's walk so ensure you get the right fit.

500+ miles

Originally brought for usage on the national three peaks 2019 Since they have been used for hiking, trekking and DofE gold, . Could not fault, fantastic: waterproof, grip, comfort, support, durability

Waterproof, fairly comfortable & strong.

Used these for over 18 months now, up & down various mountains and have remained waterproof & quite comfortable. Grip could be a little better but I find them quite light too. Good VALUE.

Comfortable and sturdy

I’ve used these for walking round survey areas of 500 homes for a while now. They are warm, comfortable, kept my feet dry in driving rain and took very little breaking in. Good boot when looked after.

Not waterproof

Very comfortable, good walking boot, but after 12 months no longer waterproof.
Walking through wet grass water pours in through Tongue, feet saturated after 20 mins. Will keep for summer use.

Practical and Sturdy

I wear these for work and walk around 2400 miles a year largely due to my job and having two labradors. I usually go through a pair once every eight / nine months then buy a new pair.

Comfortable but made of cheese.

Separate colour parts of grips come away, stitching now splitting, only got around 250 miles out of them. Last pair of berghus boots I’ll buy, wish I had looked through the reviews, steer clear.

boots not made for walking, but for comfort they get an 8/10

i bought a pair of these and the quality of build and leather out of 10 is 3 at best, the leather on one boot is splitting on the join with the sole and both boots the leather is actually tearing.

Very comfortable, true...

Very comfortable, true to size and does what it says it should.

I have purchased Berghaus...

I have purchased Berghaus boots before and have always been very happy with the quality and fit, these are no exception, good fit and easy to keep clean. The average life span for my boots are normally two to three years, I am sure these will endure the distance.

Berghaus Expeditor Ridge 2.0 Walking Boots

Purchased a 2nd pair as comfortable, light and lasted reasonably well.
Replacements failed with sole splitting from upper in about a year.

I had a previous...

I had a previous version of these boots - the best walking boots I've owned - lasted for many years despite heavy use. It was a no-brainer to buy the new version. Only used the new pair once so far, but already feel as comfortable as my old ones.

Shockers

I had a pair of berghaus boots very similar for 4 years. They were amazing tbh. Went for these and the sole came away after 3 months ! Got a refund but would urge anyone to steer clear !

Don't last

After about 10 mnths of occasional use let water in. Wouldn't buy Berghaus again.

Great for wide feet

I have a very large bunion on one foot, which has significantly increased the width of footwear I need for comfort. They were perfect, sizing is accurate too. Walking is sublime, but they’re warm..

Good Quality boot

Had these boots for two weeks and and walked 75 miles in them, no issues whatsoever, very comfortable with the right walking socks on. The grip is excellent too.

I would recommend

Not bad only been out the once though

been out once in these boots they were definitely put to the test. The shoe felt a little tight at the front but stretched out within the first mile or so. I lost my foot in a swap but it stayed dry.

Poor quality boots

Initially extremely comfortable, but let in water walking through wet grass. Lining started breaking down after a few months, now not usable as giving blisters.

Weird fit

Good for short walks, but had major blister on one foot after a hill climb. One boot became very painful to wear. I’ve not had any problems with my Scarpa’s so I use these for shorter local walks.
