Rice Crispies Tray Bake

A childhood favourite, this recipe for Rice Crispies makes a fantastic camping dessert.

Ingredients
  • 50g butter
  • 200g soft toffee
  • 200g marshmallows
  • 200g Rice Krispies
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Handful of chocolate chips or raisins (optional)
Equipment
  • Single Burner Stove
  • Pan
  • Greaseproof Paper
  • Wooden Spoon

Method

Melt Butter
in a large pan.

Add Toffee & Marshmallow
to a low-medium heat, stirring until everything has melted into a big gooey mess. Careful not to burn the bottom!

Add Rice Crispies and Combine
Take the pan off the heat and stir in the Rice Krispies until they are well coated. If you want to add anything else here, like raisins or chocolate chips, then you can.

Serve
Transfer into a tray lined with greaseproof paper or eat straight from the pan, being careful not to burn your tongue!
