The Petzl Lynx is a versatile, modular crampon for ice and mixed climbing with modular front points that allow for many options: dual or mono-point, long or short, and/or asymmetrical.
They come with two types of interchangeable front bindings, so can be adapted to boots with or without toe welts. Their multiple configurations give you versatile performance for different situations:
Glacier travel
FlexLock toe binding for softer boots without toe welts (for easier walking),
Dual front points in long position for maximum traction.
Mixed climbing
WireLock metal toe bails for boot with toe welts,
Asymmetric dual front points for more precise and ergonomic placements on mixed terrain.
Ice climbing
WireLock binding for boots with a front toe welt,
Long mono-points for maximum precision while reducing ice displacement.
From snow couloirs to dry tooling, the LYNX is a versatile crampon.
The configuration and length of the Lynx crampon's front points can be modified with one screw:
- dual points in short, long or asymmetrical position
- offset mono-point in short or long position
Adaptable to boots with or without toe welts:
- interchangeable front bindings: stainless steel toe bail wires for shoes with toe welts, or flexible bindings for boots without toe welts
- adjustable toe bindings can accommodate shoe widths and provide sufficient point length
- Height-adjustable LEVERLOCK heel bail, designed for boots with heel welt
- Integrated front and rear ANTISNOW plates
- Marked bars facilitate crampon adjustment
- Number of points: 14
- Boot sizes: 35 to 45 with M linking bar (included), optional L linking bar (sold separately) fits boots sizes 40 to 50 (T20850)
- Weight: 2 x 540g = 1080g (with two points and ANTISNOW) 2 x 455g = 910g (with one point, no ANTISNOW)

Returning orders to us is easy. Whatever your reason, we offer a refund or exchange within 28 days of delivery or collection.
Great crampon. Heaver than expected but extremely simple to use/adjust moving around the points.
However! It comes with a Medium sized linking bar which for most people 5'11 or taller will most likely be too small. It says its an optional choice which size you get but it isn't. I asked in store when collecting my click and collect order.
Which makes the saving of £20 redundant because it costs a further £20 to buy a replacement linking bar in the right size.
I always try to support local and less well known outdoor shops but the saving go outdoor offered was great, the quality of product is great but the help and little typo on the product description is misleading.
