A strong and stable steel-poled tent for luxurious family camping.
With the perfect blend of size, quality and ease of use, the Hi Gear Frontier 6
is ideal for family camping.
Airy and spacious, it has plenty of room for you, your gear and your furniture, and is tall enough for you to stand inside without you having to stoop.
Stong steel poles give the tent great rigidity, but it's still very straightforward to pitch. The front door can be extended using the included steel poles to form a canopy, giving you more room to spread out, and extra shade from the sun.
Large panoramic windows throughout (with roll up curtains) give you a great view out and let light in, while mesh venting (that can be closed down at night or in bad weather) lets air flow freely. The large full-height breathable bedrooms also use mesh venting, and there are multiple tent tidy pockets so you can keep your gear tidy and organised.
An enclosed and sheltered side porch entrance is great for when it's raining, and also doubles as an extra area for storing kit. And if the heavens do open, you'll be dry inside due to the flysheet's very waterproof 6000HH rating.
And you can make your camp even more roomy by extending your living space with the Frontier 6 Porch, add warmth and comfort underfoot with the Frontier 6 Carpet, and help to protect and insulate the floor with the Frontier 6 Footprint.

Frontier 8 Fantastic, 30 July 2016
By Teddybear (Chelmsford)
Bought in 2015 as a bundle and could not wait to use. Easy to put up both the tent and the porch. Very spacious inside, curtains provided privacy. The height of the tent was an advantage for us and the enclosed porch was very much appreciated with the weather during our holiday.

This was our 3rd time camping in the frontier 6. We bought the tent with the bundle deal, this was the first time we put the porch up, we've just come back from camping in Weymouth and it was worth the money we paid. At night it was very as windy as we were facing the winds from the sea it stood up to the winds. It rained at night the tent it's self was excellent no leaks as for the porch it could have done with a built in ground sheet as it does leek underneath. I would recommend getting the bundle deal it's a lovely tent for a family of 5 and 2 dogs excellent can't wait to go to Cornwall in it next year.

Bought at back end of last year with the porch and carpet great tent and feel the only let down is the Porch does not have curtains or provision for putting some in.With curtains in the porch it would be even better. Cracking tent
Fantastic Frontier 6, 03 June 2016

Bought in August 2015. I'm writing this review after our 3rd time we've had our Frontier6 tent out. After the first time camping in it I started to think that maybe we should have got a different one with lighter poles, as it is very heavy and takes up a good bit of room. However I'm so pleased we bought the Frontier6 and the last few days have certainly proved to us that it is the best tent we could have considered. We have just returned from staying on the North Yorkshire Coast for 3 nights over the May half term school holidays. The weather was awful, very stormy with gales and rain. We had booked eariler in the year & although I was expecting rain & cooler than normal temps, I did not expect high winds. On our 2nd morning, I rose to find a devasted camping field with at least a dozen collapsed tents with broken poles. However our Frontier 6 stood secure, unlike other tents the walls did not blow inwards & the guy ropes were very secure and did not need alot of adjusting. We stayed dry & cosy with the help of a blow heater. The storm porch is a god send to get wet muddy shoes off and help keep the inside of the tent clean. It is always very noisy in a tent when it's blowing a gale, but now I have every faith in this tent that I can go to sleep without worrying about it collapsing. We even managed packing it away in very windy conditions the steel roof poles helped stop the tent blowing away whilst we folded it up. The only slight fault I have is with the ventilation flaps on top of the windows. I wish they were zipped closed when not in use as in extreme winds the wind manages to lift the velcro loose and lets the gale blow into the tent, we kept having the press it down but it still came loose. However this has only happenned on this occassion. Other than that I really can't fault this tent. Looks great too, I've had loads of great comnents about it too, soo pleased we stuck with the Frontier6.
Fantastic high range with low price, 20 April 2016

I have been camping since i was a small girl. I have also owned many tents all shapes and sizes. However, that has got to be the best so far. We managed to get it with £200 off the original price. Quick to erect and even quicker to take down, only thing i can advise is buy some better pegs if you may go somewhere with a harder ground. The ones that come with it are not great. Plenty of room and we are now just about to buy the porch too for that little extra room in the bad weather!
