The
Coleman Phact x2 is a sturdy, lightweight 2 -man backpacking tent, with 2 spaces for storage.
Constructed from tough, durable materials, including a ripstop polyester flysheet that resists tears, and highly resistant lightwieght aluminium poles that support the resilient semi-geodesic structure.
Reflective guy ropes and zipper cuffs mean that you can find the tent at night, and the Variflo ventilation ensures that it will cope with a variety of conditions.
It also features an integrated groundsheet, that can be zipped on and off.
With it's small pack size, it makes for a handy, robust mountain tent, great for 2 people coping with harsh conditions on the move.

Stood up well, 24 December 2010

I've had this tent for about 6 months. I used it on a high level camp for two nights in the Mamores while bagging 9 Munros, Perfect for two people to carry and sleep in. I have also camped on ridge at about 600m in a storm where the winds were certainly over 70mph and maybe 100 and it stood up up fine. My wife slept soundly but I lay awake all night fearing the inevitable collapse. It stood up fine, no buckling, no leakage and very little draft, awesome. I have also slept in it this winter, in my back garden, It shedded snow very well and there was no condensation build up inside or under my mat.
One person can put it up any weather with a bit of practice, you can cook in the vestibule, and there are plenty of pockets inside but nowhere to hang anything from in the top which would be handy.
The breakdown of weights in KG's
Tent 3.49
Pegs in bag 0.16
Poles in bag 0.76
Fly Sheet 1.42
Inner 1.00
Bag incl. Repair kit 0.15
All in all I think it awesome for the money.

Strong but weak, 22 December 2010

I was a little surprised when I recieved this tent - the bag clearly says '3 season' tent on it and yet it is of geodesic design and rather heavy, suggesting it is actually more of a mountain tent. Anyway, I set the tent up and sure enough, the tent is indeed very strong from the outside. This was later confirmed when 15cm of snow settled on it without bending it at all.
On the downside, the inner is both kept tight and raised off the ground at the sides, which is strange as this means that if you were to put your weight on the very side of the inner it would simply tear the inner tent. This is a phenomenon which I was aware of and bought the tent regardless for its good value, but it is annoying and ultimately means that without very good care the tent wont last long at all.

I brought this after being out in a storm and my previous tent not lasting. I have no doubt this one will
If it lightweight and goes together easily. The double porch is a bit of a gimmick, and my son and I work out which we use for storage or entrance etc. I think the phat 3 that give an area to cook would have been more practice.
However bullet proof tent, carries well for 2 people, loads of nice features and happy I have it
