Montane’s flagship walking trousers are tough, lightweight and protective for all-round mountain use.
The TACTEL® Nylon outer provides a cotton-like feel, which doesn’t rustle or crackle, but retains the durability and fast drying qualities of Nylon. The tight construction of TACTEL® together with a TEFLON® surface finish helps water to bead up and run off the fabric face.
The ripstop Terra cotton is rigourous for craggy rocks and climbs and the design features more coverage of this fabric on the knees, ankles and seat - that means you can perch on a rock for lunch without too much discomfort.
The fabrics are protective against UPF40+ and the pants have mesh pockets to stash energy bars and money for a quick pint in a country pub.

Measuring tips
Take your actual body measurements as they are more accurate than measuring over your clothes or shoes.
CHEST: Measure around the fullest part of your chest, making sure to keep the tape under the arms and around your shoulder blades.
WAIST: Measure around the smallest part of your waist (natural waistline).
HIPS: Stand with your heels together and measure around the fullest part.
INSIDE LEG: Measure from the top of your inner leg, along the inside seam to the bottom of your leg.
I've wanted a pair of these for some time but my size has not been in stock in local shops. Took a chance of ordering a 34E which as I suspected turned out to be 34R. Excellent fit and length.
