Key featuresexpand_more

The Wild 24 Bike is a great starter bike for more adventurous mountain biking and features a quality construction that helps inspire a lifetime of cycling. The upright riding position and a low centre of gravity is designed for comfort and confidence, helped by the easy-reach brake levers and precision V-brakes that put your child in full control.

The 24″ bike is perfect for children between 4' 2" and 4' 9", typically around 8 to 11 years of age. It comes with 8-speed Shimano gearing with easy to operate thumb shifters helping your kids enjoy more challenging rides on varying terrain. The quick release seatpost and wheels make for easy saddle height adjustment so the bike won't need to be replaced after a sudden growth spurt.

  • Lightweight alloy frame and fork, with no extra weight to get in a young riders way
  • Full chain disc keeps their trousers legs grime free with minimal risk of snagging
  • 8-speed Shimano gears with easy-to-operate thumb shifters
  • Grippy tyres give perfect control without huge rolling resistance
  • Includes reflectors and a bike bell (not pictured) to encourage cycle safety
  • Tektro Alloy V-Brakes - handles designed for smaller hands
  • Quick-release seatpost and saddle - rapid adjustment to match growth spurts
  • Weight: 9kg approx
  • Frame size: 24"
  • Height/age range: 4' 2" - 4' 9"/8-11 years (approx)

Everything you want in a bike for your child

I’m a cyclist, here’s why I bought this bike for my daughter: No heavy suspension fork. Brakes they can reach properly. Smaller, narrower cranks. Simple 1 chainring at front. Gears, but not twistgrip

Amazing value bike
4_5 out of 5

We purchased this bike for our 6 year old, having had three Islabikes previously. I was a little unsure at making the change in brand as the Islabikes have been fantastic, but the Wild 24 is massively cheaper than the equivalent Islabike. The Shimano groupset specced is actually better than most of the other brands, although the wheels look a bit cheaper than those on our Islabikes. The frame is tidily welded and well finished and the whole bike with pedals is just over 9kg, so reasonably light for this size bike. It was disappointing that the bike was delivered badly setup. Although it had signatures on the quality control checklist for all items I needed to adjust the brakes, gears and headset significantly. Also the brake cables had been cut too short to use the cable tidies. All the above was easily fixed (and I'm sure would have not been an issue for an instore purchase) so does not reduce my rating below five stars.
