The next stage in the Wild Country Friend's evolution. From the original Ridged Friend, to the Flexible Friend, then the Technical Friend and now the Helium, this device has continually lost weight while gaining functionality.

Key developments for the Helium include up to a 6% weight saving, up to a 20% range improvement, and a ridged thumb loop for extra ease of placement.   

Simple and reliable plasticised cable stems are tough, highly abrasion resistant yet extremely flexible. The heads have full strength camstop and, along with the slings, are colour coded for quick easy selection. 

What are the improvements? 

Radically revised new hot forged cam lobes have meant a greater reduction in the overall weight of the friend- without losing strength.
The base holds a bigger thumb loop and grip, trigger and trigger stop, as well as a 12mm Dyneema sling that means extra clipping points and more reach for you. 
New short termination and low profile riveting increase your power and hold, and the new size label is also on there. 

If you’re worried it’s all new, don’t be. 

It retains its slick single stem and single axle that keep it recognisable, and the floating trigger design is still the same. A hot forged full strength cam head blends well with the original 13.75 camming angle. 
Sharper and lighter, better than before, the New Helium friends are an impressive 6% lighter per unit, with 20% more range. 

The bigger overlaps with adjacent and alternate units, and increased reach means this is a friend you won’t ever let go of.
