You need to protect your head, especially when you go out on your bike. It's also important to have decent ventilation.

The key protection technologies are MIPS and Koroyd. MIPS (Multi-directional Impact Protection System) uses slip-plane technology. Basically this redirects some of the energy of a blow to your head by allowing the liner to move inside the shell, reducing the risk of brain injury in many situations. Koroyd is a patented new energy absorbing material. Unlike traditional materials that store energy and release it like a spring, Koroyd deforms and actually absorbs the energy of an impact. Forefront 2 has Koroyd at the front and back of the helmet. All this happens in a couple of milliseconds if you hit your head, but it's worth taking a few minutes to think about how important your brain is to you.

AEROCORE technology combines Koroyd and EPS which are both very lightweight. This means more channels, intakes and exhaust ports can be built in to provide cooling. The AirEvac channels help to prevent eye wear from fogging.  VapourFit technology allows you to dial in a personlised, breathable fit.

The Forefront 2 also features channels on the front and rear of the helmet for eye wear storage and a three position visor that rotates high to allow goggle storage.
