With baffles that aren’t too bulky, there is minimal risk of the padding restricting movement, plus, the gilet has been designed with synthetic insulation, which means it is much better at handling moisture than a down jacket. As a bonus, it will dry much quicker if it gets wet.
Whether worn over a summer tee or layered up for a wintry coat, it has an elasticated hem and a grown on hood, both of which block out cold and bat away draughts.
Outer hand pockets stash your essentials, and the comfortable polyester inner lining is not scratchy against your skin.
