GO Outdoors is delighted to be part of the Poacher International Jamboree and looks forward to meeting Scouts, Guides, leaders, volunteers, and supporters throughout the week.

Members of our Partnerships Team, alongside colleagues from the GO Outdoors Lincoln store, will be on-site throughout the event, sharing outdoor expertise and engaging with attendees from across the region and beyond.

Visitors can find the team within the Outreach Programme area, where we'll be delivering an exciting interactive activity aimed at encouraging participation, teamwork, and outdoor adventure.

What Makes Poacher Special?

Large-scale jamborees provide a unique experience that goes far beyond a traditional camping trip. They bring together young people from different backgrounds, locations, and cultures, all united by a shared passion for adventure and the outdoors.

The size and atmosphere of Poacher provide opportunities that cannot easily be replicated elsewhere. Participants can immerse themselves in a week of activities, discover new hobbies, meet lifelong friends, and experience the sense of community that scouting and guiding are famous for.

Whether attending as an experienced camper or embarking on a first major event, every participant is encouraged to take on new challenges, try new activities, and embrace opportunities for growth and learning.

Supporting the Scouting and Girlguiding Community

GO Outdoors has a long-standing passion for helping people enjoy the outdoors. From first-time campers to experienced expedition groups, we understand the value of spending time outside and learning through experience.

Scouts and Guides regularly develop practical skills that help prepare them for life. Activities such as camping, hiking, navigation, outdoor cooking, conservation projects, and team challenges encourage personal growth in ways that are both enjoyable and memorable.

These experiences teach resilience, responsibility, leadership, and adaptability. They also encourage young people to become active participants within their communities while developing a lasting appreciation for the natural environment.

The Poacher International Jamboree provides an excellent opportunity to celebrate these achievements and showcase everything that makes scouting and guiding such positive forces within local communities.

Celebrating Volunteers and Leaders

Behind every successful Scout Group and Girlguiding Unit is a dedicated network of volunteers and leaders who make outdoor adventures possible.

These individuals invest countless hours planning activities, supporting young people, and creating safe and enjoyable environments where learning can thrive. Events such as Poacher provide an opportunity to recognise their efforts and celebrate the positive impact they have on future generations.

GO Outdoors looks forward to connecting with leaders and volunteers during the event, discussing how we can continue supporting their outdoor programmes through expert advice, quality equipment, and partnership opportunities.

Looking Ahead to Poacher 2026

The Poacher International Jamboree promises to be a truly memorable celebration of adventure, friendship, learning, and community spirit.

For GO Outdoors, it represents an exciting opportunity to support Scouts and Guides while encouraging more young people to embrace the benefits of outdoor adventure.

Whether you're attending as a participant, leader, volunteer, or supporter, we look forward to welcoming you to the Outreach Programme area and sharing in what is sure to be an unforgettable week.

Here's to new friendships, exciting challenges, valuable life skills, and another incredible Poacher International Jamboree.
