Trekmates Chicken Curry

OK it's nothing like a real curry, but is quick and filling and most importantly something that does taste good and doesn't feel a chore to eat. Bit soupy as I added too much water, but will learn!

OK so you never buy these dried meals expecting a groumet dish... This however had good consistency, great taste and I could have happily had another one. I highly recommend this product.

Hands down the worst chicken curry I have ever tasted. Even making allowances for dehydrated food this was a miserable dining experience. Enough to put me off anything else produced by this brand.

wouldnt feed it to ma dog didnt even taste like or resemble any type of curry woulda been cheeper and more flavor in a pot noodle the product is extremly overpriced and to be honest takes longer to make than to heat up a meal that you prepared at home dont waist your money make it yourself

what a fantastic quick and easy idea for anyone doing their DofE ready meal just add boiling water and its ready to eat after a long hard trak of 15 miles what could be better but a hot meal in just a few minutes

Easy and tasty (don’t expect much from the chicken) as far as these types of meals goes this is my favourite and is very filling!

First, the best bits... the meal is easy to prepare and is a large portion.
However... it tasted of neither chicken nor curry. Quite salty, with woody vegetables. The rice was well-cooked and filling. Certainly not something I would buy again.

Although cost is almost £5 it is a very tasty and easy meal to have when camping especially with the fact you just add water.

Had it several times and never fails to please.

had this twice in Scotland , once on the whw and last year on the ggw bike tour , not a bad meal at the end of a hard days slog too

Fantastic meal - this is my favourite dehydrated meal. I use these all the time while wild camping and kayak touring the west coast of Scotland. The last one I ate was in Jan on the top of Blencathra in storm Ellenor and 70mph wind - tasted even better in the sub zero temperatures :)

Great taste! Actual chicken! I think!

This meal saved me from falling into deepening a state of hypothermia. Its was cooked up for me, I eat it and was only able to do do because is reminded me of having a curry in a curry house! If it wasn't for its taste I would not have finished it, and continued to suffer! If it wasn't for it's packed cals I wouldn't have gotten the energy required. Great product!

Great product,really tasty and filling.light weight for camping/kayaking trips just add boiling water and a spoon/fork.
Just fill with boiling water to line, seal pack over, wait, open, stir and eat!!

The Chicken Curry is tasty and very filling.

It's my favourite in the range and far nicer than the horrid beef hotpot one.

I take them for wild camps due to their light weight. The instructions state exactly how much water to use so ideal if you use a jetboil stove as they have measurements so you don't boil too much. There is a fill line in the pack also if you can't measure the water.

One tip - Get a long handled spoon.

Used on wild camping trip on Cadair Idris. Walked up to summit from lake after spending night on the shore and prepared meal in bothy. Easy to prepare although me and the wife were a little confused on how much water to put in. Got there in the end. Absolutely hit the spot on flavour and consistency and was enough for us to share for breakfast. Would definitely buy again.

Used on this year's OMM (original mountain marathon) light weight. Small amount of water to rehydrate (takes 8mins) full of energy and tastes great. Also makes good hot water bottle inside your jacket while it cooks. Like the fact the packet is zip lock so keeps sealed inside the coat. Also works as a bowel for dehydrated packet pudding. Highly recommend.
