The stable 'tripod' shape deflects wind well and once all the guylines are secured the Taurus 2P hugs the landscape reassuringly. Pitching flysheet-first makes it easier to get the tent up and ready even in wet conditions.
Once pitched the tapered foot end rises to a taller door area with room to sit up and access the porch, where the extended ridge pole gives better height and storage space. Ventilation is simply controlled by unzipping the covered flysheet door as required.
A clever twist on the classic semi-geodesic style of tent, the Taurus 2P is a great 2 person backpacking tent that's easy to use and reliable in poor weather.
