I bought these thinking...
I bought these thinking that they are trousers (how they are advertised) - they are not, they are overtrousers, without a fly.
However, I have used them as they are designed to be and have been very impressed with how warm I was kept in a bitterly cold wind when walking. I have not tested the waterproofing yet but am very happy with them even as insulators. Other Peter Storm wear I have used (I usually use Berghaus) has been very satisfactory in being waterproof, so I do not think there is likely to be a problem in this regard.

Three hour trek in...
Three hour trek in the Lake District in constant, driving rain and I remained dry as a bone! Brilliant waterproofs!

Good quality but beware of sizes
Great quality comfortable and waterproof trousers. Shame they dont have drawstring at the bottom. I'm 6ft tall and picked up a large pair but should have got small as they are huge even over jeans

Could do with some belt loops as the elasticated waist doesn't perform well.
