Bad quality - Broke during my expedition
Metal bar broke on the second day into my expedition. Poor.

Metal bent on day 2, no good.
Good space/compartments. Straps and buckles broke after 1 week. I only carried 17kg in it. Not durable or reliable. Won't purchase again. Spend more to get something reliable!!!

No good
1st year of use it got a zip ripped off and the pocket torn by the airline. This year (2nd) it has torn elsewhere and the frame has poked through the inside.

Broke on DofE expedition
Bought this to use on DofE expeditions. Whilst the bag appears to be sturdy, the metal frame broke through the stitching mid way through an expedition. Not safe at all.

Great budget backpack
Friend has been using one for months with no complaints. Lots of capacity. Really lightweight. Bought as a temporary one due to an issue with my other one. But Really impressed with it. Will keep it

You get what you pay for.
I’ve been a postman for 28 years and I’ve been using a Berghaus backpack on delivery for at least 25 years. This is poorly made and concentrates the weight on your lower back, it nearly crippled me.

Felt very sturdy
Partner able to carry almost all gear for 2 using this. Waist support straps really help. Can strap tent onto outside if needed.

Had this bag for year now works perfectly, all of you complaining about how it’s broken, it needs set up properly and I cannot stress this enough LOOK AFTER IT, overall best bag I ever owned.
