Take your actual body measurements as they are more accurate than measuring over your clothes or shoes.
Feet: Use a ruler or tape measure to measure your foot (from the heel to the tip of your longest toe) Be sure to measure both feet. Many people have feet of different sizes. Fit to the larger of the two.
Remember, feet can expand over a quarter size during a full day's walk so ensure you get the right fit.
Good value boot ,the only place they eventually leaked was where the front of the boot creases and the seam where leather meets rubber.
Very comfy straight out the box having used on varying Scottish terrain in weather except snow and ice. So far waterproof having gone through mud and streams for prolonged period.
Work in a marina,in water half way up boot, jet wash in them, walk a lot, they get muddy a lot. Not leaked once in over a year, sole has worn through on heal. Cleaned and polished with beeswax.
I'm amazed people saying these are not waterproof. These are the most waterproof boots I've ever owned. They are my 1st pair of leather boots. Usually buy synthetic/goretex boots. Heavier but dry feet
Had these boots for over 3 years, done Yorkshire 3 peaks twice in them, climbed many mountains in the Yorkshire dales and only just given up on me from wear on the heel inside.
Very comfortable A*
I’ve had the boots for 6 months and they were comfortable from the start. I’ve kept them regularly waxed to retain the waterproofing but after 3 hours in the rain yesterday, my feet were wet.
Solid shoe from straight out of the box, no problems walking through at grass or fords. Stable, comfy and durable. The breakup... Next to the heal on the inside lining perished, blister and returned.
I've had these for about 6 months and they have got progressively worse despite proper care. Now I get wet feet walking through wet grass.
Comfortable? Yes. Waterproof? Not in the slightest.
A decent value for money boot but be careful. They're not made for tough terrain or long walks. I walked a mountain path for 20 kms, the soles are not firm enough, feet were v.sore.ok for upto 8km.
Bought these 12 months ago for just walking my dog. After 12 months the leather has cracked and I get wet feet every time i walk through wet grass.
I have treated religiously with Granger wax.
Had these just over 12 months and can unreservedly recommend them. Used for fishing, so were walked in through mud and long grass then kept on for hours; comfortable, warm and waterproof every time.
Bought these in March this year and they are comfortable and waterproof. The vibram soles seem hard wearing.I keep them waxed using Gwax which keeps them supple and maintains the waterproofing.
After thorough testing on the Wainwrights and Munros and on longer trails like the Cleveland Way and WHW these boots survived it all. Recommend going a larger size than your street shoe. Excellent!
Got these in anticipation for walking the West Highland way. Did not disappoint, feet were kept dry and comfortable. I'd recommend breaking them in a little longer than usual
My 2nd pair of these boots, first pair lasted 2 yrs before being worn out and no longer waterproof, this pair only lasted less than 9 months before leather cracked and they started to leak.
Had these boots just over a year. Comfy, solid, good firm and confident footing! Highly recommend!
Best hiking boots I have EVER purchased.I’m fortunate enough that I can hike every day between 10km to 30km over all types of terrain in S -Wales.Comfortable,Waterproof,excellent Wear/Tear. 5 *****
Had them over 12 months and done 500 plus miles. Been brilliant so far but starting to get slight water ingress in extreme conditions and soles feeling a bit thin. Used on hard hill walks so excellent
Boots are great very comfortable
It says Vibram on the heal but I'm not convinced. I've worn through the heal just dog walking, mostly on grass, in just a few months. I won't be buying these again.
The material is just not durable.
