A lightweight tunnel tent with space for three, complete with high quality Yunan T6 poles and a low profile design.

The OEX Coyote III is the largest tent in the OEX range, letting you camp in comfort whether you're solo or travelling in a small group.

The pre-attached groundsheet makes pitching easy and keeps insects out, while the central lobby gives you room to relax or store your gear.

Doors on each side let you choose your entry point according to the prevailing wind, and can also be opened as vents if you're camping in warmer weather.

It uses Yunan T6 tent poles which, with their Japanese grade aluminium and bespoke Korean engineering, are made to perform in all conditions whilst maintaining their integrity over many years of use.

The durable poly flysheet will withstand arduous conditions - it's very waterproof (rated to 5000mm) and treated with a fire-retardant coating which will self-extinguish if exposed to flame.

Good Tent

+ points, light, just about takes 3 small adults, erects and packs easy, seems well built and has good storage.
Would have preferred brighter coloured guys, buy with a tarp for more room.

Just bought this - could do better - expensive in comparison

The tent performed well, but I found getting the pole ends into the clips a little tricky. Also the bag doesn't come with any straps! So you have to handball the thing everywhere.

The tent was purchased as an ex display model with an extra 10% discount but was in as new condition.
On its first outing, it was subjected to heavy rain on the second night and was found to have a couple of drips, one from the lantern hanger and one from the door tie back stitching. The fabric also seemed to be wetting out slightly in places....maybe due to its exposure to the lighting whilst on display in the store. On my return, I went over the hanger and tie back stitching with a light application of seam sealer and applied fabsil to the flysheet.
On its second outing, in the Lake District in December, it was subjected to a night of heavy rain and very strong wind (strong enough for it to be difficult to walk in!). Not only were the previous problems cured, but the tent stood up to the weather very well indeed. Very impressed with its lack of deformation in the wind and no problems with slackening guys as been mentioned in another review.
All in all, a good bit of kit for the money; lots of useable space ( though more suitable for two people rather than three), easy to pitch ( peg out the four corners first) and no problems with ventilation/condensation.

Awesome kit.

What a great piece of kit! Comfortably fits 2 with a great space at the front for gear. Easy to put together, pack and split. Better spec than the more expensive tents out there.

Ideal for DofE or a quick trip away.

Love it.

Good serviceable budget tent

After months of searching and disagreements we bought 13 of these for out Scout group about a year ago. Overall very good - easy to put up, splits into 2 bags for easier carrying if hiking with (both go into an even bigger outer bag if no need to split). Our Scouts love them and find easy to put up and down which is a bonus.
Drawbacks - guy ropes are very poor, thin, weak. Could really do with better, stronger ones. 3 person? They are comfortable 2 person tents. We can fit 3 of our smaller Scouts in but even at 14 years old getting 3 in one of these tents is a real squeeze.
Overall we're really pleased with these (I bought with the intention of using as 2 person tents), they were about half price in store and are excellent value at that. Not sure I'd pay full price for them though.

Coyote 3 man

Excellent tent. Very lightweight. Sleeps 3 comfortably with loads of room for kit. Once done once it is ready to put up and pack down. Good quality materials too.

Great budget tent

The construction is good, the materials feel durable and won’t leave you in any sticky situations. My girlfriend and I bought it for hiking trips and while we haven’t had chance to use it yet we can already see it won’t let any weather in. Construction is a wee bit complex (we particularly like the porch area) and for less experienced campers I would recommend erecting and dropping a few times to become familiar and is probably overkill for casual campers.

Pretty good

I spent a weekend in very strong winds and rain and it kept us very dry and comfortable. My few complaints are, The guy ropes are rubbish. Wind just slackens them off very quickly. So you constantly have to tighten, if you don’t want the tent to lose shape in big gusts. Tha aluminium rings don’t work.
Aluminium pegs are not anodised or treated in anyway, so after one weekend they had started to corrode on the exposed part.
Other than that it was a very good tent and look forward to using it again in some more extreme conditions!

An excellent product

We've used this tent at Glastonbury and in Snowdonia and found it to be a quality product. It is easy to erect and kept us dry during a period of rain.

oex coyote 3 tent

I bought this for my daughter and friends so they can keep warm and dry whilst camping and hiking.Very robust, light to carry and easy to erect. Large separate area to keep their rucksacks, boots etc..,separate from the sleeping area which is amply wide and long enough for 3 adults. Even my daughter was pleased, which is a difficult thing for a teenager!

Good tent

Good tent, this is the improved version.

They have changed a few things to make it better which I'm happy with.

I got this one when I had to return the older version due to a fault.
