Built using the same super-comfortable, semi-asymmetric last found in their top-selling shoe, Boreal's Alpha Climbing Shoe is perfect for beginners who are finding their feet.Their low-tension integrated rand system relieves pressure on your foot, with the durable one-piece construction providing effective support that retains its shape over time.
The unlined microfibre upper feels comfortable next to the skin, and they also use Boreal's Cushioned Heel System (CHS) which places an EVA shock absorbing insert under the heel to cushion and protect the foot.
They provide the ideal blend of edging support and long-lasting friction, all due to the medium stiffness midsole paired with the sticky and durable Zenith Quattro rubber outsole.

Measuring tips
Take your actual body measurements as they are more accurate than measuring over your clothes or shoes.
Feet: Use a ruler or tape measure to measure your foot (from the heel to the tip of your longest toe) Be sure to measure both feet. Many people have feet of different sizes. Fit to the larger of the two.
Remember, feet can expand over a quarter size during a full day's walk so ensure you get the right fit.

Good shoes
Comfortable and close fit (on my feet at any rate). Good grip around the heel, stiff front sole, sharp edges. Rubber is a bit hard and less grippy than my old shoes but I anticipate this will improve with use.
Great beginner shoe
As the title suggests this is a great beginner, they feel good in a climbing gym. They do dig into my heel a little but that is due to stiffness that should soften once they're broken in. For the price I would recommend them as they are light, flexible in middle of the foot but stiff

Good quality climbing shoes
Really good durable climbing shoes with a good fit for my feet. Strong stable velcro for a comfortable secure fit. Very happy with this purchase.
I bought size 9, have size 8 (and wide) feet and the fit is spot on.
Decide to go for comfort so these can be worn all day and on trad routes. Never buying into the “crush your toes in” mentality!
