The Coleman Mosedale 5 is a spacious family tent with 2 bedrooms and a large daylight flooded living area, with enough space to setup a table and chairs and keep yourself and your gear sheltered from rain.
Its simple tunnel construction means it's easy to set up, and the protective flysheet and wind responsive fibreglass poles keep it stable in inclement weather. The large living area easily fits a family-sized table and chairs and a PVC window (with cover) gives a great balance of light and privacy. Multiple entrances offer easier entry and exit in inclement conditions.
The large BlackOut Bedroom (complete with removable room divider) gives you comfortable flexibility, helping you get a longer and more restful sleep - whatever time of day.
Safe & sturdy:
Aerodynamic and noise-reducing, mesh pole sleeves
Robust, fully integrated PE groundsheet
All fabrics are fire retardant
Zipper stoppers on tent doors ensure that zips are always within easy reach in the event of an emergency, even for children
Flysheet is treated with Coleman’s UVGuard™ providing SPF 50 protection from the sun’s rays
Lightweight: highly flexible and lightweight fibreglass poles guarantee a good response to wind and storms and reduce the weight significantly
Waterproof: due taped seams, fully integrated groundsheet and a hydrostatic head of 4,500mm - this tent will keep you dry in any condition
Well appreciated by both parents and kids, Coleman's patent pending BLACKOUT BEDROOM® technology blocks up to 99% of daylight penetrating the bedroom, keeping you cooler on a sunny day, and helping you get a longer, more restful sleep.
We've used the tent a fair bit in 2023 even in stormy weather but are now on our second pole repair. I do wish they were tougher. The blackout bedroom is great though
We bought the tent as a full bundle package used it 4x. The 5th time the rear red coded pole cracked. Had to gaffa tape it to save holiday. Having to order non genuine Pole on line to replace at £45.
Good quality for price easily put up
The tent is spacious. Seems that the pole at the front is too long so the pole bends too much and has started to crack only used the tent for about 3 times and every time the same problem
Now used twice in 2 months. Lots of condensation, best to keep vents open. Fairs well in wind, but we replaced all pegs for heavy duty ones. Leaked in front room after 2 hours of torrential rain.
Good quality and value for money. Easy to erect and dismantle.
Smashing tent! blackout bedroom- why has this never been done before!! I wake up so easily to light and my first night in this i woke up a few hours after sunrise. Brilliant tent, very spacious.
Very difficult to put up, alignment is all out of sorts and poles not quite the right length, other than that it seems good.
The front pole is too long for the tent and results in a very difficult to put up tent. On the first attempt the pole snapped after only a few hours due to the tension. Poor design. Refused refund.
Just put tent up and it is exactly what I needed! Deserves 5 stars but there is a slight tear where one of the poles is inserted so I have requested a replacement!
Bought last year. It was very easy to put up, lots of space for myself, husband and 20year old daughter. Love the windows all around. The blackout bedrooms are amazing. I would absolutely buy again.
We have used ours abroad in hot weather and at home in the worst rain imaginable and it’s been great. Black out rooms are brilliant. It’s easy to put up, showing little wear. No leaks.
Really happy with my purchase. Recently stood up to a storm on the Exmoor coast when other tents nearby didn’t fair so well. A small porch would improve it.
Fabulous tent - ample space and was the only tent on our field to survive storm Francis! Great value for money, would highly recommend!
Shocked by the poor reviews. Bought this tent in 2017 and have used it 7 or 8 times and its still in great condition (recently survived 50+ mph gusts in Devon!).
Would recommend it.
Can be erected on my own, lots of standing room with panoramic views on a wet day.Blackout is by far best on the market great when the sun rises at 04:00 AM.Well made tent no leaks Even in heavy rain
Really surprised at reading these bad reviews. Just spent a week away in this tent with a dog & 2 young kids.Great quaily. Black out rooms fab. Water proof, zips worked great. I highly rate this tent
Went Cornwall with the Mrs fathers tent. Long story short turned into a shower tent. Drove an 1H 30 Mins to Plymouth to buy this Tent made sure it waterproof via staff and it was Dry all holiday 2 Wks
Since we have used it 3 times and it was great. However last night was the first time that we have had to use it in the rain and the bedroom area leaks very badly. The seams are not sealed at all.
Used this tent for our annual bank holiday camping trip. Twice in the sunshine it was great. Last year in the rain, it leaked in every compartment and we were drenched throughout the night. Avoid
