OEX Halley Mountain Cap (Unisex)

I am very small (under 5ft & normal proportions), but this hat in S/M is extremely tight-fitting even for me. It would perhaps fit a child under 10-12 years, but certainly not a normal sized adult.

Found this hat tight even though i ordered large, Its water proof but my head was sweating through lack of ventilation there's nothing good about it really, !

I found it an excellent hat, it felt tight on first try but snip the rear cord and it's much more comfortable

Excellent, I have large head, bit of a tight fit but still comfortable even with a headlamp on. Warm, worth the money.

It’s waterproof, keeps the wind off, ears warm, ties up to the chin in blustery weather and the peak fastens back too. Yet I have the L/XL and still find it a bit snug on my head - perhaps the wiring.

I didn't think such a hat existed! I have problems with my eyes which means bright and low light causes me great difficulties. Plus I need to keep my head warm. Conventional hats do the second job, but lack a sun visor so can't do the first. I've even resorted in the past to wearing a woolly hat on top of a baseball cap. Then, Eureka! I found this little beauty. Trouble is, it's not a beauty. Anyone buying this to be hot in the fashion world will be disappointed. I have been told I look a prat wearing it, but my ears and head are warm and I'm not dazzled by the sun, so I don't care. I am delighted with this hat.

Took this up Pike of Blisco immediately after purchase. It was cold and wet and this hat stood up just fine.

I bought this hat as I was looking for a peaked waterproof hat to wear when marshalling. It has 2 things that swayed my decision; ear flaps that can be folded up out of the way when it starts to get warm and a wire-rimmed peak that can be bent into position to keep the setting sun out of my eyes. I suspect I will be buying at least one more.

Got this to replace my Berghaus version which I have recently lost. It is a third of the price and even better! As the owner of a very large head I am very wary of an L/XL combination size...they usually come up far too tight, but this was so cheap I thought I'd give it a go. It was a bit tight but I pulled it over an appropriately sized upside down saucepan, pushed some folded cardboard wedges between the hat and pan and treated it to a 5 minute blast of my wife's hand steamer. Not only did it have the required stretching effect...it now fits perfectly....but the hat was also totally dry inside after being subjected to this. Amazing! Like the Berghaus is is very light, foldable and pocketable, and has a wired peak, which can be clipped out the way, to keep the rain and sun out of your eyes. Where it is better than it's more expensive lookalike is that it has an adjustable chin strap to hold the earflaps snug on the windiest day. If you like looking cool this probably isn't the hat for you. If you like looking warm and dry it certainly is!

I use this when walking my dogs. Been in some very heavy rain and its really good, no leaks so far, very warm and comfortable to wear

Love this hat, I often go cycling but in winter, the cold & wind hurt my ears, this hat is warm & comfortable to wear especially having the option to be able to cover your ears. 10/10 for quality & price. Would highly recommend, however you’d be better buying two in case your other half steals it like mine does!!!
