Haven't used the headtorch much but based on other ones I've had over the years it seems far to tricky to turn on and switch between modes. Hoping that the battery will be its saving grace as its my first rechargeable headtorch

Great addition to the kit bag
Very bright headtorch which is very useful when out on the mountains.
Extremely easy to use and comfy to wear.
It will be interesting to see how much life you get from one battery after multiple cycles.

DO NOT BUY THIS JUNK!
Dreadful. Unnecessarily complex to the point of not working. After a discharge/recharge it WILL NOT WORK! It can take hours of pressing the buttons to get any joy. There are plenty of complaints elsewhere. Be warned!

Torch has defects
This headtorch has nice features, works for a while. I have had two now, bought via an online shop both have had defects. The first one worked for 6mths then stopped charging up, thought it was the battery, but was the headtorch, second time i've had it 2.5mths and now will not turn on, even fully charged.
The shop initially replaced like for like, now are giving me a full refund.

This is my first serious headtorch, bought for the express purpose of allowing me to trail run in the evenings over the winter period. My purchase was based on previous reviews of the torch elsewhere, but I'm delighted that the torch is everything I hoped it would be.
The reactik element sees the torch dim when running in street lit conditions, but ramping up to max lum' when the only light source. This obviously helps with the battery life when out.
The torch is easily charged via usb, and seems to hold charge well.
The buttons are larger enough to be easily used while wearing running gloves, although on the reactive setting you need do no more than click the button once to turn it on
Wearing the torch is surprisingly comfortable, and after a while it's easy to forget it is there. The head band adjusters are again very easy to use when wearing gloves.
The light strength (as per the packaging) is from 70 up to 220 lums, and running was easy enough with plenty of light provided.
At 115 grams I found it (as a 6ft bloke) no weight at all and comfortable.
All in all it's a great bit of kit from a brand respected for its quality. I could have bought cheaper options, but this torch does everything i want of it and at a price I see as good value.
