Reviewed by Notoriouskma - 16th Jun, 2018 Options Bought this so I had the flexibility to just take smaller canisterd on shorter camping trips. It means don't always need to take the big gas bottle. This is particularly handy if you are taking the grill /BBQ onto the beach etc. Made sure it fitted and worked OK before we left. I wasn't sure which one I needed in the shore, the staff were extremity knowledge and got me exactly what I needed and also explained which had bottles were easiest to get hold of in Europe
Reviewed by bluenose - 2nd Sep, 2016 EN417 regulator Admittedly not clear information. I checked with Cadac before buying. Staff at GoOutdoors I found very helpful and tried the regulator on the bbq. The regulator is to enable you to convert a Cadac LP to use small cartridges. These are readily available. You need another regulator for larger bottles. The HP Cadac can't be adapted and only uses cartridges
Reviewed by Annoyed bbq'er! - 27th Jul, 2016 Poor labelling from Go Outdoors Both this item and the Cadac Carri Chef have been very badly labelled on the Go Outdoors website. We bought this to go with the Carri Chef we had also ordered online (we assumed that the only Cadac regulator on the website would be the right one - it says regulator required but does not mention which one). We tried to use it for the first time on holiday, but the bloke at the local Calor Gas retailer said had never seen anything that would fit the regulator and he had been 'doing this for ever'. It appears that it only fits very small compact (butane only) cartridges, probably made by Cadac but apparently not sold by Go Outdoors. The result; no barbecue on the best evening of our holiday. I will go and buy a bog standard propane regulator and cylinder tomorrow and trust that Go Outdoors will provide a refund when we return.
