Just purchased 2 at go camping and tried to assemble before putting away with camping gear. Have used same style in past with no issues. The poles art too long to fit into sides of beds and after forcing one in with great difficulty I feel that the tension force will end up tearing the canvas, pity because otherwise good value

Happy with them

I'm not much of an instruction reader so I did have a 5 minute tantrum.

Once you actually figure out exactly the correct way of putting in the poles it is very quick and simple to set up.

We bought these due to damp air issues from using airbeds. We actually put airbeds on top of them which actually worked superbly well.

They are quite lightweight so be careful of far you mean over, especially if you've had a few.

Great value

I fail to see what all the fuss is about in relation to putting these together. I was a little concerned about the general trend of the reviews, but purchased two for £25. My partner 5'2" and 8 & a 1/2 stone 'built hers in 3 minutes. I took 4. if the instructions are read and followed, there should be no problem. Sturdy lightweight camp beds for the price

Prefer this to an air bed.

Not heavy
Good on slopes and uneven pitches
Well made
Won't deflate
No need for a pump
Comfortable, especially with a SIM.
Storage underneath
Avoids ground cold
Good for stomach sleepers as you can put your arm under the bed itself

Requires some arm/wrist strength to assemble
Some risk of injury when assembling
Must align the holes first which takes practice
A bit too narrow for side sleepers
Pressure on ground sheets (I put rubber door wedges down first)

Not easy

This was the hardest thing I’ve had to put together in a long time, I’m a small female but with a decent amount of strength and I really struggled with this - blood was drawn.
The bed is fine once it’s made but it’s not for anyone with mobility or strength issues.
I would let buy it again and spend the money on something easier and less hassle to assemble.

Better than an airbed

Does require some strength to get legs in but aligned the holes first and guide the legs in with your other hand and it's not too difficult. One benefit of these type of legs is they add springyness to the canvas so it adds comfort. I did find it a tad narrow though if u lie on your side and want to bring your knees up. But light and compact are a plus.

Camp bed

I bought one to try before this years family holiday and was pleased how comfortable felt just trying at home. After last years episode of airbed that kept going down so far happy with it we needed 2 one for myself and my husband . These are be use in a sleep pod on a awning so can’t wait to try them out fingers crossed

Good but strength needed

Really simple, comfortable and lightweight camp bed. We used it together with a self inflating mattress and it was perfect.

As others have mentioned, this is a bit tricky to assemble - I wouldn't recommend it to anyone with any sort of mobility or strength problems as it requires some force and coordination to put together. My 6ft 1 strong husband struggled.

That said, second time round it was a little easier.

At last - I can sleep well under canvas!

I am a side sleeper and have spent years searching for a solution to sleeping in my tent. I have one of these with a SIM on top - heaven. It even works to have 2 together with a double SIM if I share a double sleeping bag with my husband. Wonderful. Putting the bed up can be a challenge, but once you work out a way to grip firmly, the bed goes up with ease. Not too heavy. I am so pleased! Good price too.

It is an amazing product so easy to put up do need a it of strength but my 13 year old son did it by himself so it can be too hard. Great for camping with scouts or family. Very comfortable

Freedom camp bed

Compact which is good for storage. Hard to put together first time but once used to it not bad at all. Comfortable and good on a sunny day to pull outside as a sunny lounger.

We have got 3 of these for our daughters, ages 2, 5 and 8, they all sleep wonderfully on them. They fold up nice and small. Do the job perfectly.

Camp bed

Very good for the price, can be difficult to assemble the first time put together. But after that got a lot easier.

Portable campbed

Very pleased with these items I bought for my daughter's. Fab price. Very ideal for my nearly 2 year old toddler if she happened to fall out of bed as she won't hurt due to the height of them.
