A bright, stylish and functional tunnel tent with a huge internal living space.

Simple and quick to pitch and pack, the Vango Anteus 600 is a very sturdy tunnel-style tent with ample room for six campers and all their gear.

Its airy, spacious design, using a built-in front canopy and large 'Diamond Clear' PVC windows, will let you spread out your gear, your furniture and yourselves, and enjoy a great view from within. The canopy creates a covered outdoor space that's ideal for enjoying the summer weather, whatever it does.

Built using the Vango patented 'TBS ®II' Tension Band System, the Anteus 600 will stay stable even in strong, changeable winds. Pre-angled poles add internal space, and increase stability. Its flysheet should keep heavy rain out, and the groundsheet is robust, hardwearing and waterproof to 10,000mm.

As you'd expect from Vango, the Anteus 600 boasts a wealth of useful design features that help to make your camping experience more homely and less hassle:

  • ""Lights Out"" inner tent: darker fabric reduces the amount of early morning light
  • Zipped entry point (with hook and loop tidies) for electrical cable
  • Colour-coded poles for more intuitive pitching
  • Conveniently positioned inner tent pockets & lantern hanging point
  • Door with eyelets (allowing optional king poles to be used)
  • Inner divider gives you options for more sleeping or more living space
  • Vango 'AirZone': high and low level ventilation panels for a comfortable flow of air through the tent
  • Breathable polyester inner fabric allows condensation to pass through
  • Flysheet and inner pitch together - simple and quick to pitch and pack
  • Mesh door allows for ventilation, while keeping flying insects outside
  • PE inner tent groundsheet provides a robust, hardwearing and waterproof 'bathtub-style' base
  • Oversized carry bag with 50% more volume makes packing the tent away much easier

And to make your Vango Anteus a more luxurious environment, you can increase your space even further with the Anteus Side Awning, and get safer, more robust flooring by adding the Anteus footprint.

Check the video below, explaining Vango's TBS II Tension Band System:

All Vango tents use fully fire retardant fabrics that meet the European EN5912 safety standard. They weather test their tents to the European standard EN5912, in a certified wind and rain test centre, to ensure they will perform in the worst of weather. The Protex 70 Denier polyester flysheet is a highly waterproof, durable and reliable fabric that will keep you dry and comfortable, and it's exclusive to Vango.

Great family tent

First time campers and only used for one weekend so far but we love our tent atm. Family of 6 and we find it spacious for us all & looking forward to lots of trips away next year

Seconds quality

Once we had fixed the broken pole and sealed all the leaks the tent was ok. Go Outdoors customer service awful, didn’t hear back from them for weeks after reporting the broken pole.

Unbelievably disappointing

Like being in a tumble dryer, two poles snapped, seams leaked on light shower, two groundsheet tears. Pegs bendy - had to replace all on day 3. Build and quality very poor. Not the Vango I know!

Second year using it and still happy!

I Love this tent and used it twice now in extremely bad weather. no leaks and stood strong during the storm, only downside and the reason it’s not 5 stars is because of it colour, it’s a fly magnet!

Excellent

Bought last year, used first time in July and have to say extremely happy with the tent.

No lights out effect

This says it has ""Lights Out"" inner tent: darker fabric reduces the amount of early morning light but it is the lightest tent I have ever slept in! I dont know how they can list that as a feature!

Fantastic tent

We’ve had this tent for over a year now and are very impressed. Most recently our tent withstood a storm with 40mph gusts and 12 hours of rain. The tent took a battering but stayed erect and is fine!

Amazing family tent

We are a family of 5 and needed a tent with space! We bought the additional awning which gave us 3 spacious compartments. Takes 2 adults to put up, in 45 minutes.

Great tent

Used on a 3 day camping trip, haven't used in the rain yet but good quality and easy to put up, massive tent with loads of space. I would say for this tent to leak it wasn't put up right

Fair weather tent!

The design of this tent is fantastic with loads of room inside. Unfortunately the first one we Bought leaked after it had rained one night. We exchanged it for another one and that leaked too!!!!!

Calm weather tent

Used this tent 5 times now, and up until this outing all good. In winds of 16km which rocked the tent unbelieveably turning it into a huge air balloon. Split the back pole and ripped tension strap

Great bit of kit!

This is an absolute beast of a tent it's massive! I bought it as an upgrade and i'm glad I did, the space in it is unreal! takes no time to set up.. staff at Sunderland were extremely helpful. 5 stars

Good Design Poor Construction and Quality Control

The tent design is well thought out and a really good practical tent. However, the first one purchased had damage to the flysheet, and the second leaked the first time we used it, sadly both returned.

Nice tent

My review is based only having used the tent for three nights during good weather.

It's an easy tent to put up despite its size. It's easier with two people. Takes around 30 minutes. Make sure the angled poles face the correct position otherwise you might break them. (it's obvious when you see them) and notice the poles are colour coded the same as the tent shafts where they slide through.

It does attract flies during warm days. But providing you can use the front door (as we did) you can also use the flysheet to keep them out.

As I said we had good weather so I cannot say how good it will be in bad weather.

It's a great size tent. There's four of us, two adults and two 5 year olds. We all sleep on inflatible mattresses. The kids had extra sized ones that had rings around them to ensure they didn't fall out/off and we all fit ok.

The bedroom could do with being darker ideally. Which is my only gripe.

As lo g as you take your time putting the tent away, it fits back into the oversized bag it comes with.

Overall, so far, well happy with our purchase.

Ticks all the boxes

I have owned this tent for 3 yrs and used it both for 3 nights to 10. It takes nearly 20 minutes to erect then the pegging out etc.

There is plenty of space for 2 double airbeds with room in between them in the sleeping area.

The living room is ideal as plenty of room for anything u might want to make your getaway more comfortable. I recommend picnic blankets as a great alternative for flooring. When the kids are in bed and we are in the tent on an evening the large windows allow us great visibility and it's ideal that they are covered from the bottom up.

The awning at the front is fab for both shade, shelter from the rain and it makes a good wind shield when cooking. It's really lovely being able to sit under it with a nice glass of red with the rain/Sun not hitting me!

I have been in this tent under quite windy and rainey circumstances and it buffeted about a bit but stayed stable and dry.

Negative
The tent poles seem to be too long as in about 11 uses I've had 4 split poles.

If im being picky it would have been a better idea to have the side entrance as a mesh door too as it gets very warm. Plus blackout bedrooms would have been be a benefit for getting the kids to sleep.

I would highly recommend this tent and if mine was to rip I would be straight out to buy another!

Great tent

We bought this tent last summer and used it numerous times mainly for wild camping. Very easy to put up and just as easy to put away-especially following the video guide for the first time. Very spacious and the porch canopy is great if the weather is not so good. If using in windy weather then this tent is difficult to keep grounded even with heavy duty pegs but the poles withstood the wind. We got this tent for group camping and have a smaller one for shorter breaks but we now don’t bother with our other tent as this has everything we need.

Good and bad

Just returned from our first weekend away in this lovely spacious tent, I bought it to replace our 15 year old vango 8 man which has served us so well (and still is fully functioning) this however I don't think will last so long, the tent itself looks amazing I was so pleased with the space and head height and it was going great until some severe wind came along, the porch is the tents best feature but it's also it's worst, the wind battered us for 8 hours solid with torrential rain, the fact the porch is open makes the tent horrific as a wind trap it honestly felt like it was going to take off all night, a pole snapped and I fought to keep it pegged down 3am, no other tents around us took a beating like ours, such a shame It's perfect for summer trips only be warned people

Great spacious family tent - try before you buy

We bought this Vango Anteus tent this summer and went from a small 5 man tent where my husband couldn’t stand up, to this spacious 6 man tent. Wow, what a differences! The living area is large and has plenty of room for 2 adults and 2 kids to relax in on a rainy evening. Also helped by purchasing the carpet and making the tent feel warmer and more cosy. The bedroom is also spacious, we purchased 4 camp beds.... what a game changers :) no more cold bottoms when the air bed goes down and a better nights sleep! We have purchased the extra awning but with the weather being so great this year, we didn’t use it. The tent comes with a small porch and this was perfect to sit back in away from the wind, whilst still enjoying being outside.

TRY BEFORE YOU BUY... we have our tent Pre- pitched at a campsite near Wendover, HP23 6LD. Why not try it, simply turn up and spend the night experiencing this great tent :)

Was expecting better from Vango!

Bought this in the boxing day sale and had the bundle. Really happy thinking I had a bargain.
There are no pockets apart from in the bedroom. It says it's a 6 berth tent, however I am a family of 4 and can only get 2 double air beds in the bedroom. We have had 2 camping trips out of this tent now and and I am disappointed with Vango for creating a poor cheap tent. First trip we had the tent ripped by zip. 2nd trip we had, we did get some bad weather (very windy) . The tent collapsed, pegs kept coming out the ground, we had to buy some good strong ones. Snapped one of my poles in half. I woud not recommend this tent to be used in poor weather. We cant predict the weather but want to know were in good hands if we do get bad weather. With this tent your not. I would say its a summer weekend tent for 4 people but then again I'd say dont waste your money and buy something else.
