Quest Dual Purpose Ceramic Heater 750-1000W

The diesel heater in our campervan is not working and the outdoor temperature has plummeted again. This little heater will get us through till the diesel heater is fixed. Very happy with it.

Tried in house for 10 minutes should heat a tent up no probs. Not noisy seems stable and safe.

Great heater. Warms whole tent up within 10 minutes.

Firstly, this is not a 750w/1000w as per the product description, it is actually 750w/1500w so do be careful on campsites with 5-6amp supplies and even on 10amp supplies if you have a few other things running.

The description doesnt mention that the fan has to be running all the time. It gives the impression of 2 heat settings plus a fan for cooling air. That's not strictly true.

The fan is on all the time, you then choose either no heat or 1 of the 2 heat settings. This means that the heater is quite noisy. It also means that as cooler air is brought into the unit and blown across the heating elements, it doesnt heat very quickly. In fact, it seems to put out less heat than the Quest Quartz Slimline 400w/800w which is half the price and runs completely silently.

Also, when just on fan for cooling - well it's completely useless. You would be better off with a cheap desk fan. It has an oscillate function which sounds like a great idea, but with the fan being so useless there really is no difference in the overall heat/cooling whether or not you use this function.

On the plus side, it is tiny so doesnt take up much room in the vehicle. Like it's cheaper brother, it has a safety switch on the bottom which will cut the power if it tips over.

All in all - it works, but you can get better, quieter heaters which use less electricity, and for less money.

We bought this heater to warm a cold spot in our Motorhome and it is ideal as it ocilates and being only 750 watt on the low setting it won’t overload the EHU

Great, we’ll have that for camping. Didn’t think any more of it. Until.... we got to the campsite and pulled out this portable heater pictured in a field, and discovered a plug. An electric plug. To be plugged in to an electric socket. Well we looked everywhere in and around the tent but we just couldn’t find a socket anywhere....!
So yes, this heater is portable but not if you are outdoors. Bought from Go OUTDOORS.

Bought to replace halogen heater. Found this more efficient as it oscilates meaning you don't have to sit right in front of it to feel the benefit. We have a huge 10 man tent and this easily warmed the living space. The cooling setting is useless however. You can barely feel anything even with your hand right in front of it. Still recommend as a heater though.

Bought this item to hopefully keep us cool in our new caravan. Very disappointed with it as not able to feel any cool air from it.
Even with my hand a foot away from it. Even no food in our porch awning. Would have taken it back but misplaced the instructions.

Thrilled with this little heater, really warms up a large area! Fab as we have 2 young children so helps to make camping more enjoyable regardless of the British weather!
Brilliant value for money too.

Stayed a couple of nights last week in my large 4 man tent, temp down to 4. The heater did it’s job well and took the chill out of the room. You need to be right in front of it to get a real good heat but for under 30 quid a cracking wee heater.

Took this with me for my first camping with electric hook up experience and I wasn’t disappointed. Even on its lowest of 2 settings it really warmed up a tall 4 man tent well. Excellent for extending the camping season and making mornings and evenings more enjoyable in wet weather.

Fantastic little low wattage heater. Great size and ideal for my campervan. Packs a punch even on the lowest setting. Love that it doubles as a cooling fan in the summer. Would have given it 5 stars but it is a little noisy. This is however, a minor detail.

Brilliant piece of kit. Heated our large 4 man tent in no time at all. Swivel function is fab to heat a larger area.

Small dual heater two heat settings really good heat also rotates be great for hot nights as well for cold air, don't take up much room it's like having a portable mini air conditioner.

We found very useful to use with the campervan!

Set it up in our driveway tent attached to campervan. The social area was lovely and toasty pie warm in a very short time. I could set the heater at a lower wattage setting to reduce the chances of tripping the camp site electric hook up. What I really liked was the safety button on the base that cuts the heater out if it gets knocked over, reducing the chances of a fire.
