Effective crag climbing shoes designed for all season use.
The La Sportiva Boulder X are technical approach shoes designed for uncharted routes when you need an extremely firm hold as you run.
Designed to be suitable for technical routes and vie ferrata the Boulder X are multi purpose shoes, with a toe that works well when you need a good foothold when crag climbing.
The hold comes from the thick and sticky Vibram sole with an effective inbuilt Impact Brake System which offers enhanced braking power for the descent journey, helping traction.
For comfort as well as performance the Boulder X also have a 2mm EVA insert which holds the foot firm and protects from shocks and impacts.
An additional rubber rand also ensures that the Boulder X are resistant to all the abrasion associated with trail routes and edging work whilst the suede and leather upper ensures the Boulder X look as good as they work away from the crag.
The asymmetric lacing system ensures a personal protective fit for wear in the heat when your feet swell as well as in colder climates when they decrease in size.
Take your actual body measurements as they are more accurate than measuring over your clothes or shoes.
Feet: Use a ruler or tape measure to measure your foot (from the heel to the tip of your longest toe) Be sure to measure both feet. Many people have feet of different sizes. Fit to the larger of the two.
Remember, feet can expand over a quarter size during a full day's walk so ensure you get the right fit.
When you have small, narrow feet it is often hard to find a decent pair of approach / walking shoes but these are definitely worth a look.
Smart, comfortable and very practical they do exactly what it says on the tin. These are my best purchase yet.

I found these very comfortable and very grippy on all terrain. I've heard some negatives regarding the lifespan, however, I haven't owned them for a long period yet so can't comment.

La Sportiva Approach show happiness
A really comfortable shoe that needed no break in time, comfortable right from the out of box moment.
I can recommend it absolutely

la Sportiva boulder x
light weight very comfortable great for scrambling and easy climbs. However they don't last long. My first pair lasted 1 day with the sole falling off the left foot. It was a fight to get them replaced. My second pair lasted six days with the leather on the crease splitting.

nice fit but poor product
These shoes look the part and fit my broad feet well. The sole works on a variety of terrain and is great on easy rock routes too. But - they simply fall apart. The leather upper stretches and then folds, and then wears out along the fold/crease line. I'm on my third pair (what a sucker I know). Byt none of them have lasted six months before becoming completely unusable wearing out before the sole unit.

Great Grip.....Rubbish Lacing System
These are great, comfy, grippy shoes but massively let down by a weak lacing system. The eyelets are made of suede....pull the laces too tight and over a very short period of time the suede rips resulting in no eyelets and therefore, no way to lace up the shoe! I returned my first pair after only 4 weeks and now treat my second pair with "kids gloves" as I know how easily they will break! I wouldn't trust them in any remote area or over hard terrain. I wouldn't buy another pair of these.

Good grip but laces fell apart
Great grip on uneven terrain however the laces constantly come undone and the material holding them to the shoe is very weak so if you pull them tight it snaps, bought two pairs of these and both fell apart at the laces. Shame on you la sportiva

Burly approach shoes
Had them for over 2 years now. These may not be the greatest edging/climbing approach shoes compared to 5:10 but what you get is Bullitt proof, sure footed over rock and very comfortable. I wear these for walking, scrambling, crag approach, work and down the pub all rounders. 2 years on and they are still going strong. My only gripe would be the tight fit is a little uncomfortable after a days climbing.

Great shoes minus one malfunction
I had these shoes for about two weeks before the matterial that holds the lace in place gaveway, which was a real dissapointment. Before this i could not fault these shoes. Comfort from the moment i put them on, great approach shoe and also for low level walking. Without the material giving way on the laces i would have another pair of these without a doubt.
