A comfy 3-season sleeping bag, exclusive to GO Outdoors, that's ideal for youth expeditioners - recommended by the DofE and featuring on the DofE Expedition Kit List.
Vango Nitestar Sleeping Bags are built to keep you comfortable and are easy to pack and carry, making them an ideal choice for first time youth campers, festival goers, DofE participants and Scouts expeditioners.
They are mummy-shaped, which reduces packsize and increases thermal efficiency, and their siliconised hollow fibre insulation is laid in off-set double layers, held in place by horizontal stitching (helping to stop cold spots from forming where insulation may be thinner).
Their thermal embrace system increases the effectiveness of the insulation, reflecting heat back to you for extra warmth, while the foot box lets your feet relax in their natural position - great after a long day's trekking in the mountains or through the countryside.
Convenient loops let you hang up the bag to air after use, and the 4-strap compression stuff sack lets you pack it down to a very manageable size for easy transport.
Insulated, adjustable shoulder baffle and zip baffle retain heat within the bag and reduce cold spots
Two-way auto-lock zip seals in warmth and provides adjustable ventilation
Woven zip puller allows quick and easy operation of the zip, with grab loop to aid zip pulling
Anti-catch piping prevents the zip from snagging on the lining
Internal pocket gives you convenient storage for small items
Temperature ratings extensively tested to meet accurate temperature rating standards

I have used this sleeping bag in January and it was comfy and warm in temperatures down to 1 deg. I imagine it would be too warm to use in the middle of summer but just fine for the other 3 seasons. Make your decision on pack size before you buy, it won't be a problem for cycle touring. For the price, you can't go wrong.

Great first-timer sleeping bag.
I've never camped before and was clueless about the wide range of sleeping bags available. I had great help from a staff member at Go Outdoors and decided on this one as it was good value for money for a 3 season bag. Very comfortable, warm and cosy. I would suggest it might be a tad too warm for warm summer nights but for those cooler evenings this is perfect. I would certainly consider buying this brand again.

Warm and cosy
First time camping, was advised to go for a three season in the weather, was a bit doubtful due to the hot weather over the camping days. Was extremely satisfied and glad I went for this. I was warm and cosy each night.

Excellent value sleeping bag
I bought this sleeping bag for a week long sailing trip off the west coast of Scotland. In previous years my older sleeping bag had proven to be unsuitable and I had woken in the night feeling cold. This bag was more than up to the job and was warmer than I could have hoped for. I have given it four stars rather than five because I found on a number of occasions the zip snagged on the lining and was difficult to free off. Brilliant sleeping bag for the money.

Lovely and cosy
Happy with this sleeping bag. Nice and warm although have only used it so far in a caravan. Sometimes unzipped the side as was too warm. Good quality and liked that you could unzip it from the bottom too.

Great sleeping bag, really warm and comfortable. Having the hood on the top keeps you nice and snug. If you are looking for a smaller sleeping back though, I wouldn’t recommend this one because it is quite bulky to fit if you don’t have much space available but other than that it’s fab!

I took this to the British Virgin Islands to assist with the humanitarian aid after Hurricanes Urma and Maria. It was lightweight and compact enough to carry. Perfect for my needs.

Just bought this for my son who's old sleeping bag had seen better days.
He's used for a few nights scout survival camp and says it's brilliant. It's really warm, soft and comfy, zip doesn't get stuck and it doesn't slide about on his foam sleeping mat.
As a parent to me it was also great because although it came back from camp muddy and smelling of campfires it's washed and dried and is now good as new.

Vango Nitestar 225 Sleeping Bag
I bought this for a friends teenage daughter to use on a sailing weekend. She is very happy with the bag, reporting that it is very comfortable and plenty warm enough for late summer/autumn use. As others have mentioned it is not the most portable of bags, even when compressed into the stuff sack provided, but the combination of warmth and portability in sleeping bags usually comes with a cost way above the price point this bag sits at......... I doubt that this bag can be bettered for the money. Overall very happy,.......... and excellent service from Go Outdoors, as usual.

Bought one each for my girls both complained they were quite cold through the night and also had fleeces and fleece blankets on. This was a cold weekend in the Peak District in July. One of my girls had used it in June for a cub camp and felt it was warmer then.

Fantasic Sleeping bag
We recently purchased two of these sleeping bags, they are ideal for both my wife & son who both suffer from being cold whilst camping. the sleeping bag is very well insulated which makes it great for season long camping trips. The only slight down side is that the bag does not compress down very small.
