Developed to cope with the most extreme mountain conditions, and used today by outdoor people all over the world, The Trangia storm-proof stove system comprises two windshields that fit together, a burner, a couple of pans, a combined lid/frypan, and a handle. This Trangia 25-1 UL Cook Set includes a larger stove and is suitable for groups of about 3-4 people, is quick to set up, and packs away into a compact unit that takes up minimal space.
It's an excellent family stove with capacious pans, and a wider frypan. With the supports in the raised position, the stove can be used with large billies from the rest of the Trangia range.
The stoves are extremely lightweight and hardwearing, and need no special care, being reliable, without unnecessary parts that can go wrong or be adversely affected by cold.
Trangia's burner is an ingenious original product, often copied but never bettered.], with a silent burner that has a simple, durable and safe design, which is easy to light whatever the weather.
The simmer ring is used to regulate the heat, which saves fuel, and is used to extinguish the flame. A light, fast and reliable storm-proof stove system, based on simplicity.

Trangia
We use at Scouts and DofE. Awful things. Tough and cheap, and I think that's the only reason anyone would buy one. Prepare for burned food, burned fingers, burned pans, and everything you eat, drink, and wear stinking of meths. You can buy a gas conversion if you want to add another kilo to your pack weight.

I've used Trangia's for a number of years and the only (minor) complaints are
1. They are be a bit heavier than some.
2. Meths is not easily available in the USA.
On the plus side They are solid and very easy to use. I like the way it all packs up together and with a little extra space for small accessories as well inside. Cooking is easy and the wind shield works very well. I've never experienced a problem with Meths taste either unless of course you poor it over your hand. If ultra light weight is not a priority then they are great
